Friday I popped the battery out, sprayed light oil all over it, and buttoned it up for storage.

Flurries started next evening. Soon it looked like this.

New shoe's (F&R M5 interacts on special) and brake pads too, so fresh grip all round

Yesterday added a little wire to jump the clutch switch until I can fix it. :(

How many more miles does that add to chains? I am on 16,000 with mine and everything is good.
Not sure yet... I'm still on the first chain I put on. Looking at my records, I switched chains and installed the scottoiler very close together, at about 16000 miles on the ODO. I'm at 40450+ right now so I've put 24,500 miles on this chain so far and no issues at all. I don't clean it either, just shoot it with a little kerosene right before I wash the bike (to help the scottoiler oil shed the water) and ride. I do get some fling- but not so much that its an issue.

I also don't wash the bike very often... lol About once every month / 1300 miles.

The only thing my chain has seen is WD40,
and a grunge brush. Wipe off the excess,
and ride.

First time THAT's happened... Pulling away from a light on the way home tonight there was a '70's muscle car behind me. I heard his tires chirp and it roared a little, so I let 'er wind up. Halfway through second gear I felt the front end lift and then set itself back down... Didn't know my bike could power-wheelie in second, with my 16/47 sprockets... Oops...

I added a relay to jump the clutch switch from Amazon which cost like 8 bucks and installed it under the seat. I don't see the need for it since I'm pretty diligent about checking if I'm in neutral

Anyways, yesterday I changed my coolant:
