Not really what I did, but what it did to me.

Back story: A few months ago before I was 100% sure I was going to get a bike, I took the the MSF course and needed a pair of boots. I didn't want to go too nice because I wasn't sure it would be "for me," but I wanted something that offered some usefulness should I end up picking up a bike, so I picked up a pair of Bilt (Cycle Gear store brand) boots on sale.

Fast forward to today, and I go to put down my side-stand on the SV and the peg from the side-stand goes straight through the sole of my boot. Yeah.

So, I swung by CG to see if they would help me out even tough I was out of the return period. Holy crap, Cycle Gear's service is amazing. They took them in on a straight swap for a pair of similar priced boots, or put what I paid towards the purchase of a more expensive pair should I want to go that way. Sadly, most of the boots are a bit too "loud" to wear under my pants in the office, so I went with a pair of Alpinestars Roam boots. Man, I kinda wish I'd spent the money on something like this originally, but it ended up working out in the end.

Installed the rear GSXR wheel with the spacer kit and machining from Zoran. Fits very nicely with enough room for a 190 tire if I want it. Brake caliper holder and sprockets lined up perfectly. The one snag was the RK chain from Vortex. Since I don't have a rivet tool, I ordered the clip, but they sent the rivet master. Oh well. 520 clip coming this afternoon from the local cycle shop.

I had to make a quick stop on the way to work, so I hopped off the bike and left it running. When I got back to the bike, I smelled gas. I saw where gas had leaked on the right side of the front cylinder. I got to work and looked with a flashlight everywhere I could think of that might leak gas. Couldn't find anything.

I've already replaced the hose and clamps that connect the throttle bodies together and that looks OK. I guess it's time to pull the air box and see what's up.

got a new rear tire and a bunch of tools to do it myself. turns out it's a pain in the a$$ to get the old tire off.

I use a C-clamp and a piece of wood. Not the easiest, but works well. I find that a little palmolive goes a long way to help the tire slide off/on the rim when I change mine out.

I rode around town with my best buddy on his monster 900. got a lot of " **** badd ass bikes brah!" and " those R sicccc!"

Witch promptly led to him launching into a wheel stand and rocketing off as i mildly took off to catch him lol

Ordered the OEM license plate bracket (aka fender eliminator).
Went back and forth with the custom motorcycle shop about ordering some bar end mirrors. They couldn't get the ones I wanted, so I'm going to buy them online.
Used my brand new gloves Cortech Accelerator 2 which my brother bought for my birthday.
Rode to the Homeowners Association meeting, where I complained about the stupid barking dogs down the hill.
Rode to Target with just 20 minutes before it closed to buy cat food for Oreo and Kilia.

Just go to HF and buy their bead breaker for $20, plus an additional 20% off if you can get a coupon out of a Motorcycle mag. Buy a pipe to make a cheater bar as well for the really stubborn beads.

Finally got done this
stv adjustment
fast idle voltage adjustment
tps voltage adjustment
stp measurements and i cant remember what else after a full service to the TBs
