Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

First time THAT's happened... Pulling away from a light on the way home tonight there was a '70's muscle car behind me. I heard his tires chirp and it roared a little, so I let 'er wind up. Halfway through second gear I felt the front end lift and then set itself back down... Didn't know my bike could power-wheelie in second, with my 16/47 sprockets... Oops...

Whew. That's the messy way to do it. I bet it was a real surprise how far it squirted out!

I put a bucket on some stuff to get it wedged up under the drain and tape a rag over it to redirect the coolant in to the bucket. You can also get some flow control by managing the air going in the radiator cap.

It actually has decent airflow. Does have a slight tendency to fog up on cold and/or damp mornings at stops, but I bought some Blaze coating that helps with that. I think there is less open air space inside the helmet than the Exo 500.

Edit: Oh - and they are cheap (if they fit your head shape) - the most expensive graphic pattern on RevZilla is $169.

I picked up the Orange and matte white one with the scorpion written across the side for stupid cheap. Looks way better in person.

I found it to have a larger outer shell than my medium RPHA-10 so it won't fit in the side cases of my FJR.

Totally worth the money even at full list. It easily feels like a match for the RPHA which is supposed to be a quality helmet as far as HJC is concerned (ymmv though). Scorpion has come a long way in the 8 years since my last one.

I went the other way - Scorpion to HJC RPHA ST - and also found the HJC to be a bit less impressive than I expected for their top-of-the-line helmet. Got a real good price on it through RidersDiscount via SVR though.

I like it, but it's a little rough around the edges compared to some of the better helmets. My Scorpion was decent, just too old at this point. I would have bought another, but couldn't deal with some of the wild graphics.

Biggest difference I've noticed is fogging of the visor. The HJC fogs very easily, where the Scorpion hardly fogged at all.

I'm OK with it. :) Shared the same photos in the Riding Skills thread.

Note for the guy that bought the EXO 500 - the 500 has a more round head shape than many other helmets, so if your head is a little more oblong, you may notice it pinches a touch at the forehead. Also, Scorpions fit a little looser than many makes. I ended up in a Large Scorpion where I thought I would have been a Medium most of the time.
