Where do you attach a video camera to your bike?

I pulled out an old GoPro knockoff I have laying around thinking to try and make some small on bike videos. Has the sturdy little abuse and water resistant plastic box it lives in.

I bought a bunch of different accessory mounting accessories but there just isn't room to mount on the handlebars, or the frame. Even if I could get the clamp in there, I can't tighten it up. Attaching to the rear footrest supports gives me a lousy angle. I could attach it to my arm, chest, head. Put stick on things wherever there is a fairly flat surface, or a suction cup on a bigger flat surface.

I guess I could out a sticky clip on either fender, but don't really want to put that sticky crap on there. Might be a headache to remove later. Maybe I worry too much. Suction cup on the tank works but the camera sits low and the tank slopes forward which does not help. Plus, I don't like the idea of suctioning it to my tank over and over.

If you run a camera on your bike where do you attach it and how?

I just stick the camera to the top of my windscreen. I can see it, but it's outta the way. I don't have a photo with the camera on, but that's the mount.

Up there you can reach it and see what or if it's recording. It does not shake and rattle around?

I tried in on the mirror stalk of my old Tuono, but it shook way too much. The SV is not as vibratory, I guess I'll just need to experiment, and I can only do so much of that in the garage. Which means more riding, and that sounds good to me.

No shaking at all; any of my youtube videos of the SV are mounted this way. It doesn't really show there, but I get crystal clear videos and images off my GoPro 7. I can hit the buttons with my gloves on too, which is cool.

I use a chin mount on my helmet. It provides the most natural viewing angle, but It caused me some buffeting on highways.

I have a similar ram mount, works well, flip the cam front or back, or to the side.

I personally prefer cam angles that show some part of you or the bike. One being placed on the tail on my '01 with the double sided tape:

I use a Chin Mount. I've tried direct mounting on the bike, but rear facing is the only place I've been able to get any decent video from. With it on my helmet I can run an external mic inside the chin bar and have a vlog setup that also manages wind noise very well. I turn the camera on at a stop, vid the section I want, then shut it off at the next stop. Edit out the fluff on the ends. Gets the best POV footage too. You see it pretty much like I see it on the bike.

I cut a little metal plate and bolted it through the triple clamp where my ignition used to be. I like this view for reviewing track footage since it shows my tachometer. Haven't really gotten much this year since my GoPro sucks. No shaking this way and pretty much no wind noise.

I've used the sticky mounts on the tail before as well.

I use the suction mount, and place it on the fairing below the mirror. I use a loop of packing strapping (looped around the mirror stalk) as a safety.
It holds well and has yet to let go while riding. Image is clear though wind noise is predictably a bit loud, though not as much as I thought it would be.
