I carry a Gerber in my tank bag. I've never had to use it on anything for myself, but it's helped out many others.

 

I don't generally like multi-tools, but if you're in the market for one, (or a bunch), cheap.....check on eBay.

There are several sellers that deal with TSA seized items from airports and such. A couple of weeks ago I bought a "lot" of five small Swiss Army knives for $16 shipped to my door. I didn't need five, but now there's one in each vehicle, and one in the camper too.

Letherman Wave. I keep it in a Nite-Eyez pouch with a 2AA Maglite, a small Klein Tools flat head screwdriver and assorted writing utensils. I wear it everyday at work, take it on every vacation or trip and put it in my tank bag for every ride.

Well, hand to hand, Chuck Norris would whoop some MacGyver ass, but if MacGyver has some gum, and a paper clip...Norris is fcuked.

I love my wave but it broke last night, I was trying to coax a part off an airplane and it snapped the screwdriver, oh well they do come with a 25 year warranty.
