What is with the seat bolts on SV's? On my first gen, one of the seat bolts seized in the threads and broke off. I had to drill it out and re-tap it. Today i was doing routine maintanance on my 2nd gen, and a seat bolt seized in the threads and broke off. More drilling and tapping. Of course, the drill bit broke in the hole, making it an afternoon project. It's fixed now.

They are very finicky. I've done the same on my bike, best practice is to use a tap and die and clean the threads of the mounting location and bolt before re-installing them.

Sync'd throttles on mine Sunday afternoon. Topped off coolant reserve, cleaned the rear wheel and rest of the bike.

Often times, when screws won't come out...they were over-torqued which distorts them in their holes. I use a screwdriver handle with socket on the end to put many bolts on the bike so they can't be too tight. It is SO easy to over-torque the cheese bolts.:)

Got a package from the Big Brown Truck of Happiness. In it was a brand new rotor for the magneto. Going to play with it trying to better secure the magnets, balance it then install this winter and hope to never have to worry about the magnets coming loose in the future.

I can't even get the bolts to tighten, much less over-torque them. They seem to seize about halfway in- with about 1/2 inch of bolt still sticking out.

Finally started my winter maintenance with a valve check and break refresh. Good thing I looked at the valves too. Almost all of them were on the tight end with two exhausts at the limit and one intake at .09mm. And that's at 15.5k!

You've got a prime candidate for chasing the threads with tap and die set. The bolt is likely stretched out a bit which messes up the threads, but it sure won't hurt to tap the holes too just to make sure the threads are clean and correct. Might need a new set of bolts if they're really badly deformed.

Went to Utah and got her a new companion

Installed a Sena SM10R in my Scorpion EXO 500. Tight fit for the ears, even with the compact speakers, but should work well.
