Actually I've been working on it for the last two days, but have been too busy to post up. On my SV, pulled the rear tire, exhaust, exhaust collector, and kick stand, just to get to the rear shock which I replaced with an 06 GSXR, (you have to do all that on a 1K), then cleaned the tar out of it and put it back together. After 30,000 miles, that shock was toast. Next I pulled the front forks, and took them into the shop to get new seals bushings. I've had them rebuilt before but I thought that they needed new bushings. We're ridding back to Wisconsin this summer and I don't want to have them go out this summer like last time. (Stupid pot hole) Next I pulled the drive sprocket cover, cleaned that out then I pulled the clutch line and put in a new Gaffer line. Next are new break lines then new plugs, clean and oil the air filter, new coolant, then last an oil change. As for Andrea's I rode the tar out of it.

 

I did 1,224 miles in the past 3 days.

Just got back from Blockbuster with a movie (Bolt) and used my homemade tail bag to carry it in. Nice ride..low 80's and little traffic.

 

Put on the Stompgrip traction pads and let it sit in the sun to cure the adhesive. No riding till Sunday, if the weather is good.

 

Rode to the beach, then rode to OTD motorsports in Santa Ana for the Triumph demo.

Asked if there was any raffles, and the salesman gave me a Triumph t-shirt.

Hi sdobbs20, the orange bike is a speed triple and the green bike is the scrambler.

 

i thought it was. saw it yesterday in a parking lot. looks like it'd be a really fun bike.

 

Yeah it was fun, kinda felt like I was sitting on a dirt bike, it had an Arrow 2 into 1 pipe on it - sounds great!

Next week the Triumph demo is in Brea, I want to ride the Truxton.

 

I rode it. I put 160mi on the bike today. I heard the cooling fan run for the first time ever in the 4 years I've had the bike. Glad to know it works.

lol i put mine back together than took it out for a ride to make sure it wasn't going to fall apart. then i put my viper exhaust on and broke one of the clamps. :-(

 

i went for a mountain ride this morning to scrub in my new Strada rear. then rode to Cycle Gear to work a few hours.

 

added R6 tube, How did you guys d it in 10 min. I spent about 15 trying to get the cable ends into the slots on the tube, and in the process, bent the washer all to he11, but it works, and is a nice change.

I just got back from a 4 hour trip to go pick up a seat cowl to replace my bustified one.
Bonus cup: I got a ride out of it, and the cost of shipping for gas was less than half shipping! :thumbsup:

And this is why flat black rules : besides the awesomeness of the lack of colour itself, I'll have it sanded, prepped, and painted to match in one day.

I looked at my SV and wish I had rode it instead of my 500R. I lost a front fender bolt and haven't had time to get a new one. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow morning?
