But now imagine doing it on the SV! How much more adventurous that would be ;)

I'm actually only a couple of steps away from
converting it over to a vstrom for short people!
All I need are some more aggressive tires, and
some fender extenders! :icon_biggrin: Well, with out all the
fairings...

I could sure use a set of front and rear failings, my lowers are great, but the PO decided to rattle can the rest.... It was ugly, and I can only clean up bad so well....
I also have a cracked upper, no idea how, because thers is no evidence of rash so.

Pulled the front wheel off of the project bike. It had been sitting exposed to the elements for a few years before I got it, so I was surprised it cleaned up as well as it did, and fairly easily. The clean pic was the side I did in about 5 min with a greenie and Simple Green.

untouched right side

cleaned left side

Did a detail on my bike today. Did a full decontamination, 2 steps paint correction consisting of compounding and polishing and finished it off with a Ceramic Paint Coating.

For those interested, there's a full write up here...

Looks amazing! Now go ride and get it all dirty ;D

I love that color scheme and wish that model wasn't so hard to find. One of these days I'm going to get one and make it naked.

Thanks, actually just got back from putting ~100 miles on it today! Rode down to a local shop's open house.

I really like the color scheme with the black frame and stripes. I was lucky enough to find a super low mile example locally for an unreal price!

Very jealous of that paint, just got finished up with a mild detail myself. Medium cut compound, polish and two coats of wax really do wonders.

It really does. Funny enough, I didn't know the white stripes on mine had flake in them until I hit it with the first pass of compound. It really pops now in the sun.

Amen, same with my yellow, especially the tank. Was a whole new bike after the medium cut although I still have this stupid looking tank protector I need to ditch.

All the stripes are stickers even on the tank. Careful you don't wear them out cause only the tank has them under the clear coat.

Got the delkevic installed.

Put the full cover on the bike so it's fully covered.
