Finally installed stock mirrors courtesy of r0ckrat. They are replacing my cheap bar ends that kept hitting car mirrors when lane splitting and getting bent inward by wind. Will try them out tomorrow and hopefully will be able to see somewhat behind me.

Also got a new Olympia odyssey suit to replace the Joe rocket survivor they didn't fit me quite right. Lots of things to test out on the commute tomorrow morning!

Pretty sure I remember reading something about using bandit mirrors as they have a longer stalk allowing you to see more than your shoulders.

This is accurate. Ordered some mirror extenders and small concave sticky mirrors to extend the view a bit. Will see how this works out.

One of my mirrors on my current SV came with a convex and it reminded me how much I love them, I need to get another one for the other side

Got the Brake and Light inspection done. So far that's 1 trip to DMV, 1 trip to CHP (so far no costs) 1 trip to Inspection Station, $80 fees (state set).

Tomorrow I go and settle the matter at the DMV, and get it fully registered, then stop at my ins. co. to make sure it's insured. This time liability, as I doubt they'd do full coverage.

I Got to replace the spider cracked coolant reservoir, oil change, and pair removal today :) felt like the bike acted weird on restarting after pair removal; had to fiddle with the idle adjustment.bogged a couple times at idle with a blip. But 10miles later seem to be back to normal with 0 backfiring now.

Registered! New title will be in the mail someday, but it has a new license plate and is legal. Now I just have to get to the ins. co. and make sure I'm still covered.

Went to change my rear sprocket and of course the sprocket holes weren't drilled right. So that was a waste smh. At least got to tighten the chain and clean/lubed. Also fixed that radiator bolt I broke last night.

Installed G2 Ergonomics quick turn throttle tube & Pro Grips 719s.

I decided to spend a little more and not mess with the r6 tube. Weather should be really nice again tomorrow so grips will be dry by then i'm looking forward to feeling the difference.

Man I've been looking into quick turns throttles. Seems crazy to think about lol. Rough price tag for the upgrade?

Weather was nice today and I got to out for a bit. I really like not having to bend my wrist so far. I was a bit worried that the throttle would be too sensitive but I did not find that to be the case. Now I just need to adjust the throttle free play and I'll be set. (Free play was more than I liked with the stock tube, I don't believe the new tube affected this at all.)

Oh and to actually answer your question, about $80. Which is way more than an r6 tube, but to me it was worth it to not have to modify the tube, and peace of mind, YMMV.

You think the power Commander would need to be adjusted at all from this upgrade? Thanks for the reply.

Installed my LED blinkers from mad8vskillz. Don't have the resistors installed yet to remedy the hyper flash. Water ban in my county, don't judge the dirty bike. Check his for sale thread if you want some.

Ok, I've had an extremely busy few days... Friday an SW-Motech AluRack arrived from RevZilla, Saturday I went to a photoshoot that I helped organize in the canyons north of LA, and today I finally hooked up a lead for my heated vest and gloves, installed the AluRack, and mounted a BIG (two-helmet) top-case. It'll be better for commuting than a tank bag.

Here's a pano of the area we were in yesterday:

I'll get pics of the bike with the new topcase next time it's uncovered...

Edit: Trunk:
