I put in a new petcock (fuel ****) on my 2001 SV650s. I had gasoline going into my oil. It was not fun. Seems like the new petcock is doing the trick (fingers crossed).

Today, I finally got a day to put into getting my bike fully put back together. I've been working too much the last few years!

-installed new/used motosliders
-installed new touring windscreen
-Bought new stainless steel bolts and installed stock mirrors with 5/8" spacers. The mirrors were removed last summer for a track day and the bolts were galled, so I've been riding (occasionally) without them since last August.
-installed my old PIAA driving lights that I removed for the track day
-installed the black plastic water/dirt deflector on top of the swingarm that was removed for a zx10r shock swap last year
- installed the side panels over the seat from having the battery out over winter
-lubed and adjusted the chain
-Bought oil for oil change soon.

Took it for its first non commute ride in ages. May have accidentally wheelied it a little bit... so I came home and changed the oil right away to make sure it didn't explode.

One step closer on fixing my oil leak. Picked up the drive shaft nut I needed and installed it. Just need to put everything back together and adjust my chain and I should be back to riding.

Waxed the tank(not on the bike.) Installed the block off plates from cheweys pair delete.
Checked the valve clearances.

I washed her and waxed her and took her out for an evening ride with my gf to watch the sunset on the foothills parkway in East Tennessee

I installed some nice new Woodcraft rearsets with GP shift on my track bike. Took it up and down the road and I really like the GP shifting. Gonna test it out on Monday at my first track day of the year at NHMS.

Discovered my seat had been lowered by the original owner (foam was removed from the bottom of the pad).

Added new foam and did some reshaping. Also made it brown.

Well color is on (Hot Rod Flatz Firemist Charcoal Metallic) can't wait to see what I did wrong tomorrow! By Friday I'll be back on the road.

Flushed the brakes. Again. I got an air bubble in the lines last time and ran out of fluid.

Finished replacing drive shaft gasket, put everything back together, adjusted chain, filled oil. I finally got to ride for the first time in way too long.
