Yeah..i actually just taljed to ins today. I have comprehensive with 250 deductible so i should be okay. Gonna ask if the check can be cut to me since im a certified mechanic and do the work myself.
This shouldn't be a problem. Be sure to get estimates from a couple of shops, though, so that you get the right labor rates built into the quotes and the claim, rather than just cost of parts.

Yesterday, I put the new front tire back on the bike, which was fun. I need a triple tree stand instead of the regular. Not much room to easily place the speedo sensor back in.

Went to do the TPS adjustment, but I don't have the t25 bit with the indention and it kicks in at 2.5K so I'm not worried about a 1K difference.

Today I'm going to change out the spark plugs and stare at my new rear tire that was placed incorrectly on the rim by the horrible motorcycle shop near my house while I wait on my tire stand / balance and tools to arrive next week. In the mean time, I'll clean the chain guards and bike some more.

I so desperately want to ride.

My bike was due for a new chain. So I got some Superlite sprockets and a D.I.D chain. Went with 15/47 this time on the sprockets and man those 2 extra teeth make a big difference! :vroom:

Swapped out carbs on the sbk with refreshed/rejetted ones. Installed the new 45T rear sprocket and took 2 links out of the chain to fit it. Re-installed the freshly done penske rear I got back from Zoran a couple weeks back. Barber MSP next weekend!! :vroom:

aTRE, new air filter...and one hell of a wicked braking powerslide...recently swapped rear pads and stainless lines and new fluid...man the rear brake works good for right now...

Figured out where my oil leak was coming from - looks to be either the o-ring or the seal for the driveshaft. Parts are on order, so hopefully I can get back to riding soon (without spewing smoke and dripping oil).

This weekend I got my tire changing stand in the mail and corrected the messed up rear tire install the shop did.

The wheel balancer I bought at Harbor Freight while out of town in Ohio this weekend wasn't right, so I got to exchange that for a proper static balancer. Waiting on weights to arrive in the mail to finish that.

Just tried mounting that tire that beat me before cayuga at the end of the last season. Onto street wheel.

Bead is totally wack, won't seat. I had it sitting in a ratchet for days trying to get the bead to widen up again. Bukkaked it with tire lube. Tried foreign and strange ratchet techniques while filling it up. Still won't seat.

I don't want to lose this battle to a tire.

Thanks to insurance, i got to order all my parts from the deer accident.
:eek:ccasion14:
Yay!

I got to catch all but light green on the way to work this morning. Small joys...
:lmao:
