Replaced the steering stem bearings on my GSXR front end! Took me 4 hours from start to finish... The bottom frame race took some coaxing to get in, but I got it... all the rest was pretty smooth!

I need to do this on my Dakar, as the stock bearings are quite notched. I may do it to the Sport as well, and replace them with the Speedymoto tapered bearings.

I used some All-Balls tapered rollers. Feels so smooth now!

Actually been a fairly busy week. Cut about a foot of wire out of the front harness to clean up the birds nest of wiring, installed my new gauge(Dan Moto SP 00002), bracket and mounting plate, repainted my top triple, installed heated grips and made/installed a new baffle to drop a few dbs from the chopped Yosh exhaust.

Swapped out the black bar end sliders for chrome ones and swapping out the chrome levers for black ones tomorrow. Purple led under lights were rewired 2 days ago, too. New fabric for custom seat covers and plasti dip dye on order for some more farkling to be had!

Pulled off the carbs only to confirm my fears that last time I cleaned them, the o-ring and washer for the air-fuel mixture screw fell out without me noticing. Hopefully that is the sole cause of the bike running like crap.

Repacked my TwoBrothers pipe and found that the aluminum threads where the midpipe bolts to the silencer had all stripped out almost completely. 23k miles of use and this being the third repack, combined with my 27 inch pythons' tightening abilities gotta be the cause

I still had the stock cannon sitting in the parts drawer so I re-attached that with some aluminized pipe halves and 2 T-bolt clamps.

I gotta say that I kinda like the quietness. Now I can hear how much RRRAAAWWWRRR is actually coming from the airbox at WOT.
