Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.
What's up with the blue brake fluid? I'm just curious, as I'm only familiar with clear (or a close approximation of clear) brake fluid.Installed an 07 GSXR 600 front brake master cylinder on my SV650N:

The install required new brake lines, and a Triumph bracket (p/n T2021004) and bolt (p/n T3330709) for the reservoir (sourced from 2WheelPros.com).
Applying the front brakes no longer has that "wooden" feeling. The lever is nice and progressive, with good initial bite. Not an inexpensive upgrade, but the results are worth it.
I don't think it's dirty fluid... At least I would hope not. He said he installed a new front master cylinder and brake lines. I really, really, really hope that he wouldn't change the master cylinder and lines and then put the [extremely] dirty fluid back in.Looks like its just dirty. That and the bike is blue. You might be catching a reflection, just like on the handlebars.

This is a motorcycle forum, get it right!Because racecage! :vroom:
huh, thats a good idea. learn something new everyday![]()
A lot of racers (at least in the car world) switch between the blue and "clear" when flushing so that you're sure you've got all the old stuff out. Some people just like it because they saw a guy with a race car / bike that one time that had it so it must be good :vroom:
It puts the lotion on the skin...Rode it home from the grocery store with 2 roasted chickens and a warm apple pie in my back pack... best winter ride ever. Even better than a warm 2-up passenger. Because warm and filling.
How did the pie not fall apart?Rode it home from the grocery store with 2 roasted chickens and a warm apple pie in my back pack... best winter ride ever. Even better than a warm 2-up passenger. Because warm and filling.
I put it in a snugly fit box and, when on the bike, my back is angled enough that most of the weight was on the base rather than the side. How did the pie not fall apart?
Is that a Radioshack switch? It looks identical to one I put in the same place to control my auxiliary riding lights. If it is, be warned, it is NOT in any way, shape, or form water resistant. Any time it rained, I couldn't turn my lights off. The water got into the switch and kept the lights on. The wetter it was, the brighter the lights were when they were turned off. I got sick of it and ordered this handlebar switch. I've been very happy with it... and it's weatherproof!I farkled....

Mounted a new switch and wired a couple frame LEDs to a battery pack. I went with fuchia color and still have another 2 strips to add on. It's turned too nice outside to keep playing in the garage...so now I'm going to take her for a ride!
AutoZone...but could still be the same thing. I'll checkout what you have going....thanks for the tip!Is that a Radioshack switch?
