Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Put the thermal and rain linings in my jacket for this mornings commute, and turned on the grip heaters.

I'm soft, I admit. It was only 55*...

Installed lower fairings (last night).

I bought them used and they were flat black in color. I'll also be taking them off soon so I can spray the underside of the fairings.

I'm not sure if I'm up to the task of trying to match the OEM copper paint, though, but the black isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It helps that I already had black wheels, front fender, and tank grips.

I took a picture of it last night. I was doing some sandblasting in the garage and don't have room for the bike yet. It snowed for the first time of the season yesterday. 12-1/2" of heavy snow fell from about 7am till 11pm!.

I'm waiting for a new battery so I can't ride today. I finally got around to installing a resistor in place of the PAIR solenoid which was hidden under the gas tank. Finally, goodbye to that piece of crap. New battery should be here tomorrow....

Praised my PR3s. After most of the afternoon coming back from the smokys, riding though a storm... In the dark... Sitting in a puddle... In sub 50° temperatures. (I either need better weather gear, or to never ride in that sort of weather again.) But I can certainly say these tires rule in the wet. Even with the front almost to the wear markers and the rear looking decidedly more square these days, I was able to keep a fair pace and get home safely.

Nice thread. I put some real headlight bulbs in my recently acquired SV (it had green/red tinted crap bulbs) and wired in a pigtail for my heated jacket/gloves. Looked under the air box to see what I would have to do to sync the carbs....ouch! But then I rode it, best thing I did to it all day!

Fixed the subwoofer and the reverse light.

It all depends on how fast you're willing to go. Slow speeds in forward or reverse can be pretty unstable on the sv. You may be able to pick up a used gyroscope on eBay to balance things out but of course we'd need a detailed write-up on the procedure to have on record.

I think lifts in your boots might make it too hard and dangerous to operate the foot controls due to the added bulk. It probably hasn't been documented on here yet but you could possibly lower the bike by putting on some 13" wheels and tires. Maybe look into some old Geo Metro of Ford Escort wheels to get by cheap? An added bonus is thatyou could sell the other half of the tires and rims to offset the initial purchase.

Today I modified an R6 tube tube and slipped that baby on. Doesn't stick now that I cleaned up the cuts I made.

Slapped on a new 525 EK-SRXII chain

Also...I installed my M4. Waiting for the exhaust sealer to cure....24 hours...man I'm so impatient I just want to start it SO BAD. Inching closer and closer to being able to ride it again after a long time...

Tried to polish out some scratches on the inside of my face shield. After a lot of work, determined that I'm just going to have to order a new shield.
