Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Added one way valve to breather hose

Theory is the valve allows the crankcase to exhale out as the pistons descend then prevents air from refilling when the pistons rise. Got this one on Ebay for about $43 delivered which is WAY cheaper than others I've seen offered. It's actually for a Harley! So now my bike has something in common with all the Bad Bikers out there.:)

The valve actually DID work well! Only change was the valve and the idle speed increased about 200 rpms...which I slowed back down by leaning the idle mixture. And I swear...the bike runs a little better with the valve in place. Dyno testing (not on my bike) has proved this type thing to be worth upwards of 4 HP on the 1K's...which is pretty cheap horsies. I'd mentioned this on another thread, just wanted to again here in case someone who might be interested in something like this missed the other thread.

Link to the valve?

I would think that the volume of air in the crankcase beneath the cylinders shouldn't change significantly as it is a V twin. As one goes up, the other comes down. The air would just move back and forth. So, if this device is useful, wouldn't it be more because of piston blowby than any compression or expansion of air caused by piston movement?

Started install of mosfet R/R. Need some hardware to finish mounting adaptor plate.
Tore the front end off. Dismantled forks for install of Traxxion spring/emulator kit. Duct up bushing install order, need to buy long screwdriver to get bushing out. Today seemed to be full of fail, other than purchase of new Trek mountain bike.

Finally got my front end sorted out. Preload had to go a bit stiffer, air gap a bit smaller, and I needed to go to 15w oil for the rebound. Last week it got emulators, .95 springs, and a new ZX6R shock, so we are all good now.

VERY confidence inspiring in all areas of cornering. It also eats up every kind of bump better than before. I'm psyched!

Repaired my cracked rear fairings and prepped them for painting.

This post does not exist; it is a figment of your imagination.

Yesterday I finished rebuilding the front forks with all the Traxxion dynamics goodies.
Today I reinstalled the forks and all the bits that had come off to take the forks off, and I also installed a 1 inch raising link to the rear suspension. As for the front end, I can't believe that I actually have what you could call a suspension now! The backend looks a lot better with the 1 inch raise to it.

Rode it. It's been sitting for over a year since getting my Speed Triple. In that time frame I've checked the valve clearance, replaced the clutch cable, installed SS front brake lines, new front pads, new chain, new rear tire, replaced the air filter, replaced the spark plugs and changed the oil and filter. Feels like a new bike even though it has about 45,000 miles!

Whole front end with billet triples.
I spent a lot of time on the litle things that are hard to notice. Tried very hard to make it look factory possible.

The grab bar cutouts have been filled in and shaped instead of using the available plastic plugs. The side covers have been color matched, the frame was reshaped where the exhaust mounts used to be to make it look like they never existed.
