Pulled the jank rear subframe. Disassembled, cleaned, and refreshed fork legs and painted the lowers.

 

I logged on to the forum for more info.
Ordered new clutch perch for cable. Replaced both handlebar grips to match red theme. Installed both red handles to bike. Installed voltage meter to speedometer and wired into existing harness. Finally finished making the new brackets for the single headlamp.

 

I took apart the rear suspension, planning on installing an '08 gsxr 750 shock. Then I realized I had no way to cut the toolbox. So I reassembled the bike with the stock shock. Trip to the hardware store planned sometime soon. Need a cutter wheel for the dremel, and a couple stainless fasteners.

I find the oscillating tool works well for cutting battery box

 

fake brembos are killing me. what is the point of that? the only people who will be impressed are people who don't know $hit about bikes.

 

I have a feeling the fake brembos were more about having a sense of humor (and maybe a bit of boredom) than trying to impress someone. I thought it was pretty funny when he posted them.

 

Same here. I was gonna have "fOhlins" stickers made for my streetbike fork legs a while just for fun.

On another note, I got the track bike taken down to just the frame motor and swing arm.

Installed my TLR shifter, in GP fashion of course

 

Lord willing, my chain and sprockets will be here today. I have a ride with my church fellowship tomorrow and it's a GREAT route....

I ordered the parts on Wed and paid to have them here by 3pm today.... But the USPS tracking # doesn't work!

 

Is it a tracking number or a reference number? Ref #s have a different section on the tracking page.

Ditto on SVRP. I once thought I had an issue with their service, because a part was a week overdue. Turns out my wife just got it first and put it in the garage without telling me.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a danmoto gp pipe. My dad has the same one. They're really nice, never heard one on an SV though.

Cleaned and adjusted my chain. Also cleaned 3 months of filth off the back wheel. Adjusted shifter pedal height.

 

installed r6 throttle tube and bikemaster superbike bars.

 

How do they feel from stock bars. I'm about to pull te trigger and get these.

Rebuilt front callipers , bleed them need to bleed them more but was out of fresh oil
Removed triple top , changed right broken clip on
Installed Scott damper
And drove about half a mile on the street, bike is not registered and still got a broken ankle so didn't wanted to hurt myself

if anything, not much more. but i agree, the angle of the oem bars was a little weird. the superbike bars seem a little more comfortable.

 

Today, I took off the front cowling and headlight. Then I winced at the terrible repairs. More work to do.

 

well it was yesterday but, I went fishing. Took it to the river

 

Almost forgot... On 9/17 I plugged it into the BatteryTender, turned out the lights, and left it sitting all by itself in the garage. *Sigh* I miss it already.
Gone until late October, so I'm SV-less in SoCal.
