Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

I'll ask my friend what he'd want to do another one. Is your bike a 1st gen or a 2nd gen? There's a big difference in subframe between the two.
We did this one out of a stock 929 subframe and some 3/4" 1/8" sidewall square tube, but could use entirely square tube no problem. The undertail is 16ga. All 6061. Decided to go with 1/8 wall just to make sure it's strong enough, as I'll put a passenger on it at times.
got the Bridgestone BATTLAX BT-023 in today. attempted the zip tie tire mount method. result is a big negative. so i mounted it with the ol tire spoons. wrestled that son of a buck for a while. and only came out with a few scratches to the rim.
installed zx10r rear shock, new ASV brake and clutch levers, and rizoma bar ends, as well as bleeding the brakes, couldnt have done it all without the help of a member on here named Creature Core. thanks bud!
what is sync throttle valve using 2 bottle method. and sync at 4000-5000 rpm. is he talking about sync the carburetors?

Not sure about the two bottle method, but on fuel injected bikes, you sync the throttle bodies, since there are no carbs.

The advantage of this method compared to the oil in a tube method is that the liquid will never enter the vacuum hoses. This is a good thing since when I was adjusting the screw I got it so wrong that the throttle was really out of balance and the oil would have got sucked into the throttle body. With the bottle method, one bottle just runs dry when this happens. I would just shut the engine off, pour the oil from one bottle to the other and try again.

Had a rear flat at 110mph I slowed down before it went totally flat, woo hoo for free roadside assistance!
Had some Pilot Power 3s put on. Found out the fuel valve coming off the tank was clogged. Cleaned it. Went for my 3rd ride in 2 days after a 3 year hiatus. :rock:
Put new EBC HH pads on the front and standard EBC on the back.
The old pads weren't even that worn out, but holy hell, the EBCs bite soooo much better.

washed it for the first time since..probably right before the fl rally last nov.
gave it an oil change.
cleaned/lubed chain and washed the wheels.

The idle has been porpoising from 950 to 1500 so I began to move the bike to a place where I can work. In doing so, knocked it off it's stand. (track bike no kickstand) It fell on a padded floor so the only damage was the left rear set was slightly bent inward. After picking it up and calming myself, I removed the air box in preparation to check the throttle body sync and check the spark plugs. The plugs look fine except the front one is a bit corroded from the sealing boot leaking a bit I guess.
I checked and set the throttle stop screw, located the vacuum take off nipples and that's as far as I got tonight before deciding to go in a watch the AMA super/sportbike races in Birmingham I DVRed. Tomorrow I'll hook up the gauges and check the sync. If that doesn't fix it, I'll be back here looking for ideas.

Ordered some riding gear from www.revzilla.com including new jacket, gloves, and silver visor for helmet. Also ordered some shorty brake and clutch levers. They're black with dark blue adjusters to match the bike
