Raised idle to 1350 (wow huge difference at low speeds), replace clutch slave cylinder seal and rebled clutch, cleaned up front sprocket cover (Ish) and re routed my 3 cigarette light adapter port.

Successful night

 

Dragged a foot-peg for the 1st time today in a traffic circle today. Kinda startled me, but kinda cool at the same time. Guess I'm getting better at leaning like I'm supposed to in turns

 

Finally got around to buying a tube of rubbing compound to take a mark off my tank. The PO tipped it over in his truck and the bedliner marked up the small dent on the tank. The dent is there but now it's far less obvious.

 

Sprayed some lube on the chain as I await parts...

 

Rode it to work, while at work was thinking what should my next mod be?

removed 8900e penske from 2000 sv.
swapped springs on 8900e and 8981 penskes (8900e originally 650-7 spring and 8981 had a 7-500 spring)
installed 8981 on 2000 sv:

then installed 8900e on SVK6S. this was stupid easy esp compared to the other sv!

 

Changed out the right fork seal and changed oil in both fork legs. Swapped out pilot pure front for Q2 front. Also toying with a few paint colors to see what color scheme I'm going with next.

 

Installed new fuel pump relay, new IN temp tag, and went for a long ride through Brown County.

 

Picked it up from the shop after getting a new rear tire installed (always forget just how **** slick they are at first) and the promptly ran out of gas 7 miles down the road going to look at new beds, I swear there was 1/4 tank in it when I dropped it off. Oh well, all good now. Also new chain in the mail going on this weekend.

2010 Zx14 rear shock swap its in and makes the 05 naked firm next is welded dampeners 20wt oil and new springs can't wait to feel my sv stable through the twist

Changed spark plugs. After riding for a few miles my SV started to hesitate. Got some NGKS and swapped them. One of the old ones had paper, oil, and a fly on it?. Got the bike a month ago, guess I should have changed them when I got the bike! Oh well, you live and you learn!

The front cylinder spark plug on mine was rusted like my Mazda. Watch for the rubber boot to be pushed all in!


And I had a dirty look from a cute girl 20 minutes ago.

 

Finished installing a new 520 chain/sprockets and Pilot Road 3s, took her for a long test ride today. Couldn't be happier with the -1 front sprocket or the Road 3s, and can't be happier to have the season in swing again!

 

I stared at it since its still in pieces in the garage. Still have to install flush mounts in the front and the new stock sprockets I ordered.

 

On my way to work this morning it drove like i hit a brick wall. All was fine going about 60mph it then bogged way down spit and sputtered until i got to work. After work she ran fine all the way home. So I need to find out why its running so inconsistent. That is what I will being to it today.

 

Picked up some progrips 723 grips and installed them. PO rashed up the clutch side grip and it wouldn't stay in one place on the clip on. Also picked up a grunge brush to do some much needed chain scrubbing.

 

In one month's time, LSL Superbike Conversion, New Pilot Road 3's, New Plugs (Iridium), New Oil and Filter, New Coolant, New Carbone Lorraine Pads, Installed Front and Rear Speigler SS Lines, New Levers from 434 (Black with Red), and New Vario MRA windscreen. Taking a break for a bit ($$), next is a Two Bros Carbon Black Slip-on, 12V Distribution and USB Charger, Buell Pegs, Corbin Seat.

 

TPS adjustment too. Made a world of a difference at low speeds.

 

Just ordered a new set of gold Galfer 2004 GSXR600 brake lines 6" over to fit the new bars I installed.

 

I installed a set of levers from 434Racing, very nice, highly recommended.

 

+1 on 434Racing Levers. Granted, clutch lever on 1, 2, and 3 are almost useless, they are sweet and feel great.

 

...and just ordered new clutch and throttle cables from Motion Pro. I'll be sending them my choke cable to have them build one 6" over for my new bars. This thing is getting expensive.

 

Ordered a sprocket/chain kit from SVracing, pulled the tank and opened the headlight to find where I'll connect my gauges. My dad bought and installed those Instaglow or Indiglow gauge faces that light up but you have to hard wire them to your electrical system...without asking...and I really liked my blue gauge faces Oh well...

now I need to buy some carb rebuild kits. Suggestions where?

 

picked up (with sv650y) and installed (on svk6s) gsxr wheel spacer. feels much better now!

ordered rearsets and galfer pads for svk6s! ;D

and then fixed rear brake on the K6. it wasn't working at all, so i bled it a bunch until it did work.

EDIT:

so started taking K6 around block and turns out my front brakes are complete $H!t! tried bleeding but to no avail yet. gonna have to bleed a lot tomorrow.

 

Today we played a little hooky, and tested out our new jacket. Two thumbs up!
