Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Checked to make sure the radiator was topped off. Noticed that it didn't look like there was anything in the brake reservoir..opened it to find nothing and a small circular gasket slightly hanging down in the reservoir.

I changed the oil and filter. 3500 miles on Rotella T6, it looked like it was good for another 1000. Could be the Bales adapter that lets me use a Purolator 14610 Pure One filter. I think that the Pure One filter did a better job than the Purolator "for motorcycle" filters or Hi-Lo Filtro filters.

Suzi needs a bath, but that didn't happen; the roads are going to be really wet in the morning. :(

Got a list of things I need to do over the winter. New Battery, sonic springs and heavier fork oil, look for a different steering stabilizer, maybe a new headlight/windscreen setup, new pipe, maybe a danmoto nano cockpit, new rearsets and see if I can find some rotary caliper brackets. This all if I don't get my CR500 sumo project bike.

Taking insurance off during the winter puts you into a higher risk category and increases your rates.
Wow, that's the first I've heard of that. My rates never went up when I was doing that. Perhaps it's something your agent is telling you so that you don't cause them the extra work, or something specific to your insurance company?

Of course, I had my house, 3 cars, and my cycle with my agent, so maybe he was just being nice to me.

do what i did...call ur insurance company tell them ur putting ur bike in storage for the winter and maybe they will give u a credit when u take it out...

Im paying full price while bike is in storage, but when i get back i get a 70% credit put to my policy and probably wont have to pay for the rest of the policy

Still commuting - it's chilly but manageable here in Boston (about 38 deg F at 6:30am when I ride) as the roads I use (I-90, I-98/128) are clear for most of the season.

Also in today's update I got the first of a few UPS parcels for my winter projects: New springs (upping the spring rate, the current 0.85kgf/mm despite the recommendation from Racetech's site are bottoming out), '02 fork caps (adjustable), voltmeter, FH008 R/R with D'Ecosse wiring, ZeroGrav windshield, and last but def not least, my Ohlins shock just was serviced and has a new (correct) spring fitted.
