Yesterday I installed the Delkevic exhaust that came in the mail the day before...what a difference in sound! I especially love the rumble when downshifting coming to a stop.

I laid my sv down when i hit some tranny fluid in a turn. Snapped shifter peg broke Ride It Moto clutch lever and cut and bruised the S*#T out of me knee but couldve been worse. Moto Sliders did there job lol

Today i changed the clutch and i can't wait to put it at work tomorrow on some curved roads

 

I guess the ride it moto levers arent "unbreakable" like asv's

 

I made a lower headlight bracket for the adjuster, and powdercoated a few more parts

 

Rode to work and ridding home, then taking the wife on a joy ride.

Tommorow; thourough wash, wax, check tires, check oil, attempt to remove air filter to see if I really have a K&N as seller stated / if not purchase new one / if so; clean it.

 

Filled it up with gas and rode to work. 'Twas a good time.

 

pulled tank and replaced fuel strainer, $63 at dealership (i almost fainted when he told me the total) old one had 32k on it. watched my friends new vfr fall over in my driveway after he didnt get the kickstand all the way down. its ok though, his new $600 arai helment sitting on the ground caught it for him :lmao:

 

Front brake lever was squishy, so bled the brakes which firmed up the lever in no time. Only got 27 miles of riding in though

 

Took my baby in for the start of the season maintenance. Checked all fluid, chain, cables etc etc. She's ready to go.

Tonight, ordering motosliders and hopefully installing them next week.

 

Zx10r rear shock was put into the bike. Such an easy modification everyone should do it.

 

Rode it to work, put new brake pads all around, rode it home. Also did some cleaning. Hopefully today I'll get my front fork seals done.

 

Gave it 3 quarts of fresh T6, then took it for a little ride.

 

Fresh brake fluid all around, New front Versa Brake pads up front, Checked and adjusted sag on the front and rear. The new Elka from SVracing had sag set just right didn't need to adjust at all. The front I had to loosen up the preload to get the sag right. I have put wire ties on the forks to see what travel I am using to further fine tune the front. I plan on hitting some twisties this week to fine tune the rear.

 

Rebuilt my blown out front forks. Kept it all stock except 10w oil. Rides great now. I couldn't believe the crap that came out of them.

Flushed the coolant and replaced it. It's a 2006 and I doubt the PO ever did it and if you think about it, 5yr old coolant doesn't sound great.

 

If you listen to your coolant, get some sleep!

Today I put back the snorkel in. Removed it for 2-3 days of test. After almost 600 miles, I was more than tired of the droning sound, louder than my LeoVince.

Can't wait for my Racetech springs to arrive!!

Not today, but yesterday I got my SV wired up.
All lights work, gauges work, starter works!
Bodywork is at the painters and should be done by the end of the week.
Just have to make a new bracket for mounting my gauges.

 

Well it was yesterday, Sunday and I had some free time, so i headed north for the only curvy roads I know in flat Fl. had great ride, about 240 miles total and must have seen at least 300 bikes, was doing about 70 mph on a two lane road with come curves coming up, when a pair of buss's come by me like I was standing still, pretty sure they were in 140 range, just smiled to myself and was thank ful I had my sv, and was having blast under 100 mph mark, not knocking the buss's I can still remember the days I just had to go that fast to have fun, not anymore and I thank the good Lord I don't, lets me ride another day. All and all a great ride, and great day !

Got to go for a ride down the street right as it started pouring. Feels much firmer so far, and no dive under braking is awesome! Wish the **** rain would just hold up though.

Installed Speedbleeders on MC, front calipers, and rear caliper. Then bleed my brakes front and rear. Took about a 1/2 hour. Easy Peasy. ;D

 

I finally cleaned up the nasty wiring on my bike yesterday. Even sleeved it with Expando so it's nice and pretty. Now then, to clean up the rest of the bike...

 

Finally got he ZX-10 shock on last night... gotta get some more time in the saddle before commenting too much but it is definitely firmer and not nearly as much pogo action as before... I think I am pretty much done with the mods I wanted to do... what the heck am I supposed to do now?? (ride it more huh?! )

 

Last night I picked up my front wheel with the new BT023 on it and put it back on. Today I'm riding like even more of a wuss than normal. It's gotten into my head. The last time I got new tires, I tired to force the scrub-in and lowsided. This time I appear to firmly lodged on the other side of the spectrum.

I know that story. I have been victimized by a greasy new tire as well. It's not like you can spin up the front and force it to scrub in either. Good luck.
