FINALLY got my LEDs installed, Didnt go with the pods, ended up with a 9" bar (40 watts).

Looks great but I would be concerned with the fender making contact under hard braking. It can prevent the suspension from it's full range of motion and cause you to go down. Just be aware of that possibility!

Yea, it does hit at full HOLY ****! braking, so Im going to move the front fender down, I think 3/4" and ill be ok. But Ill do that later this week.
I still don't think leaving it there is a good idea. You were better off with the individual pods that you were looking at before.

I think it would be better if you move the lights all the way back.

Do you have any fork tube sticking above the upper triple? If so (and I think stock is 6mm?) you could gain that much clearance by lowering the tubes which would help the clearance problem. Actually, if you take out the springs, the front end will drop all the way down to the stops so you can see what you're working with. Moving the fender will help, but it would be good to be SURE you're not making contact and allow a little bit for fork deflection too. We've had a Member go down when their front wheel made contact with the radiator...and that's something best avoided.:)

Thanks Rob, I have to reseal the fork tubes soon as one started seeping, when I do that, I will re-evaluate the whole situation, until then I completely removed the fender.

On a side note, after lurking the forums searching for good information, i oprdered a set of front pads (its time), and ended up with:

I could not find the "R" pads, but the reviews on thses were good, so I pulled the trigger and ordered enough for both front calipers.

My turn signals were a mess, one even fell apart, so I replaced them yesterday with some flush mounts off Ebay..

On a side note, all my images on this thread will disappear as Comcast is ending its storage for account holders...

Till i figure out a new place tpo host pics, here is a link to a pic on FB (set to public).

You could always upload them to the forum as attachments.

I'd suggest using imgur.com to host stuff. If you upload images it'll give you a url like http://i.imgur.com/Pi6H1WL.jpg, img tag it and it'll display as a large image. If you want a more reasonable size, but a lower case h before the .jpg - http://i.imgur.com/Pi6H1WLh.jpg for example - and it won't be enormous.

Got the forks resealed, and installed some "Vesrah Sintered Metal Brake Pads VD-344JL" up front.
Rides like a whole new bike, and stops on a dime...

I never knew how bad and loose my front end was until it was resealed, must have been really low on fork oil...

Question: Where do I go to get a key made?
Im in Nor Cal, and almost **** myself looking for my only key last month (Finally found it).
Bought a blank off Ebay last week and it just arrived (with a K&N filter)...

Your local locksmith should be able to do it (I've yet to have one decline), although he may not guarantee anything with a key you provide.
