I am struggling to get the warning sticker off of the gas tank, and the DB sticker off of the frame. I am using a hair dryer, and they are only coming off bit by bit, not a full peel. I did get a 2nd one off of the frame using this method.... but these other 2 decals will not come off, and now they look worse!

Can I apply something to them that wont hurt the frame / tank paint?

Or, saturate with Windex and let sit. Use a thick terry type cloth to rub. You can also try WD40 or peanut oil, mayo with the cloth. The hair dryer has always worked for me to get the outer layer off. The glue residue can be removed with the above or goo be gone. You can also heat and try to work a bit of dental floss under the sticker to slice off.

If you are talking about the warning sticker that is right in front of the gas filer, it is NOT under the clear.

The S that is on the side of the tank of the 2nd gens are decal type things that come right off.

I used a hair dryer on my warning sticker and it was a PITA. Ended up getting most of it off with some sort of adhesive remover I got at Ace Hardware.

The S and the stickers that were on the frame rails came right off with a hair dryer.

Good luck. Take your time, and everything should work out.

use a rag and soak the sticker with water, or windex. Then once you get all of the sticker off, to remove the leftover residue, use a non scented lotion on a towel and scrub.

Or if you are steady handed, you can use a razor blade to remove the sticker, and lotion to remove the residue.

How old is your bike? They tend to get harder to remove as time goes by and the bike has sat in the sun for a while.

I have a heat gun and found them pretty easy to remove but I did that when the bike was new. Took the stickers off my Ducati after about a year and 10,000 miles. Still wasn't difficult.

Depends on the sticker in my experience..
The tank one came of super easy in one piece.
The stickers on the right side (frame) came off super easy.
The stickers on the left side (frame) are coming off in tiny pieces.. And I tried heat/goo gone/ Awesome spray.

Just have to use my thumb and scrap tiny piece by tiny piece.
