^^^ if you're referring to the triple clamps, then no, different diameter.
However the wheel can be carried over, and in most cases, the rotors as well.
My bad, front fender. After researching a cabillion threads, its does not.

After looking at every option possible, I am going with the Delkevic GSXR front fender, its cheap for $58 shipped and its brand new and unpainted, which I will paint anyway to match my bike. All the other ones on Ebay are $30 but are cracked or super scratched, so I would rather not take the risk and buy it right the first time.

need info. I've got an '08 gsxr 1000 front end I'm about to put on my sv. The front end I bought has the brake calipers and brake lines, but does not have the master cylinder or lever assembly.

So my question is.... as I look for a master cylinder and lever assembly, what models and years will be compatible with my front end? Thx.

For now, you can use the stock one from your SV. You'll probably want to upgrade to a radial master cylinder eventually, supposed to give you better "feel". Many people prefer to use the R6 or R1, I think anything beyond 2003 is ok. If not, someone will be along shortly to correct me.

Corrected, bought one on Ebay for $45 shipped from a 2009 bike in immaculate condition

Big help! Thanks, I think I'll just go with my stocker to start with, assuming the gsxr brake line will screw in properly.

Thanks again all, my 2009 GSXR 600 swap was completed this weekend. Only issues were a seized bar end weight (had to cut clip on) and the ignition offset to the left had me unclip the ignition and move the wire so I can install it on the left side. Forgot to trim the ignition, so had to take it off again and trim it down.

The SV1000 steering damper looked like it wouldnt fit due to a little piece of the bottom triple in the way (brake hole bracket screws into it), so I might have to buy nuculars fork mount for the damper.

Several ways to do it. I opted to do it this way since I was going naked and wanted to keep the clutter down.

Since then, I've moved the headlight in and down and found it would contact the damper. An added washer at each of the damper connection points provided clearance.

^^^ May not end up as pretty as OnD's mill work, but now that he has illustrated the basis of design, you can fabricate those parts with some basic old-school tools - vice, file and drill! :p

True, medieval style

So I got the 06-09 GSXR-600 forks mounted up on my 04 SV 650. I used a 05-06 1000 top clamp, so I will have to drill the ignition/lock in order to properly fit it, as it's only hanging there with one bolt right now...

For now I used the 06-09 GSXR-600 clip-ons with matching MC. They are a little low and hit the fairing at full turn. Since this is a track bike, I could probably live with it for now...

I know that I can use TL1000s or CBR 929/954 clipons to fix this, but that will obviously require a longer brake line. What bike can I source a proper length brake line from that will work with the taller clip-ons and the 06-09 GSXR MC?

Thanks,

I bought 3-piece Woodcraft clip ons with a 1" rise and they are perfect with Galfer braided lines. And if you ever lowside they wont break off and are an easy fix.

2009 GSXR 600 forks

Finally got around to putting 08/09 GSXR600 forks on my 07 naked this weekend. Triples, forks, and wheel and rotors are on. Next on my list is brakes. I plan to use the GSXR master cylinder and calipers and the SV controls.

When removing the SV front brakes, I discovered a plug (I assume for the brake light, maybe?) running from the right side control cluster to the SV master cylinder. What exactly do I do with that plug when I end up installing the GSXR MC? Does the SV plug go into the GSXR MC directly? Do I need to swap the switch off the SV MC onto the GSXR MC?

Just did a search and came up with nothing. My bad if this has been covered before. I tried to troubleshoot this myself in the garage this weekend and ran out of daylight. It'd be nice to figure this out during the week so I can get back to it next weekend.
Any input would be awesome.

Thanks.

Will a 08 gsxr 600 front wheel fit on an 07 gsxr 750 frontend?

From the thread I think it will work but the only difference I can see from the wheel matrix is the bores are not the same. Not sure what exactly that refers to but will an 08 front wheel work on an 07 750 front end?
