ideally.... you can put any master cylinder on any set of brakes.... you can change around the m/c piston size for a different feel and different force. i'm not exactly sure about those exact two being compatible, but id say go for it.

smaller m/c piston = more lever travel, more feel
bigger m/c piston = less lever travel, less feel

 

To expand on that ;-), the bigger the bore, the less pressure there will be for a given lever force. Conversely, a smaller bore will produce a higher pressure from the same amount of force. A bigger bore needs less stroke to move a given volume of fluid, while a smaller bore needs more stroke to move the same amount of fluid.

So, the bigger the bore, less stroke but more force will be needed to reach operational pressure. While, the smaller bore will need more stroke but less force to reach the same pressure.

The average riders' perception of 'brake feel' is a compromise between those characteristics.

i have a 07 gsxr 1000 and i saw an sv 1000 and love the vertical tail lights. i was wondering if i can buy sv lights and put them on my gsxr. Anyone know if that is possible?

 

Not sure what the mounting arrangement is on the gsxr, but you would need to cut two parallel, rectangular slots as the SV lights are mounted in from the back side and protrude through the surface of the tail.
