ZX636 Rear Shock for Replacement

Hey guys,
I've done a bit of research and I'm still not sure if this is the rear shock I should get to replace the stock one. The few threads I've found related to the ZX636 shock weren't clear in answering these questions. I have the option to get a new 2006 Kawasaki ZX636 rear shock. I've got a '08 650 and I'm wondering would that be a decent budget replacement over the stock. In addition to that, are there any installation issues I might have to worry about? I'm thinking here of cutting into the battery box, that sort of thing.
