So I picked up R6 monoblocks from ebay to stick on my 03-04 GSXR1000 front forks. I'm running stock SV1000 rotors, which are 310mm, so D'Eccose's permutations thread says I need to loose 2mm off the calipers or the forks.

So my question is, for those who have done this, how did you get rid of this gap? Did you machine the forks? The calipers? Or drill a hole into the forks to fit the nipples (technical terms)?

No need to run the dowels. Pull them out and it'll fit.
