I figured that since it was a 08-09 it would fit just like the 07" ZX10 rear shock would. When I opened the box I noticed how the res. on it was at a 45 degree angle not a 90 degree.
Any suggestions?

If you look at both the '07 and the '08 on the parts fiche at RonAyers, they certainly look different:

Why are you replacing it?

Will fit. You'll have to modify battery tray for this one. It also has a heavier spring rate.
