will naked fork work for an S model

I have an 06 S model and am looking to purchase a set of forks from a guy who has a 2nd gen Naked, will they work? In my service manual it says the N is 420 mm free length and the S is 428mm free length. Will that matter? Or will I be able to switch the forks with no problem?

i think the main difference is the triples...

tubes and legs will swap...
I was thinking I would just replace the forks and leave all my equipment on the bike not using the N equipment at all, I am pretty sure they will work. I have done some research and just want a few people with knowledge to reassure me before I make a mistake, thanks.
They should work fine. I wasn't aware that there was a length difference, but 8mm isn't bad, since most people run their fork tubes up 5 - 8 mm anyway you shouldn't have any trouble. But to double check, measure from fork top to the center of the axle and compare with what your seller has.

The forks will work fine. What is the service manual spec'ing as 420mm or 428mm?? That's only about 16.5". Springs?
