My rotor pins are getting pretty loose and my mechanic said they'll need replacement in the next 2000 miles. He said the rotors themselves look fine but I should replace them because of how loose they are getting.

I wanna just replace the pins but part of me says to just replace the rotors. Anyone know where I can get a set of front rotors for a decent price?
Is it very hard to replace the pins on the rotors?

Got more responses on a local forum and after posting up a vid of the rotors they said floating rotors are made to be loose like that.
Thanks

Sadly, SV1000 rotors are unique to SV1000s.

The easiest alternative would be to swap to a newer GSXR front wheel and rotors. 06/07 600/750, 05-08 1000 are all the same, and use 310mm rotors (same as SV1000). Or, 08+600/750 09+ 1000 are somewhat different, but also 310mm (different wheel style and rotor bolt pattern).
