I bought an 06 SVs as my first street bike and I'm very happy with it. No regrets on choosing the SV as a starter, I ride it all the time and it's a blast. I'm not tired of it by any means, but I know within the next few years I'll want to move on up in the ranks to a supersport. I really like the gsxr 750. Of course I could change my mind between now and when I'm actually ready to buy again - but if I were to go out and buy something right now to replace my SV it would be a gxsr 750. Love the way they look, the styling, and of course plenty of power. What would be (or was) your next bike after the SV?

2003 BMW F650GS, bought it Saturday and it's getting delivered tomorrow. I have back problems and I needed something more laid back. This is the only pic I have so far, it's from the dealer:

I am partial to the gsx750r mysef due to the fact I used to own one and totalled it many years ago. I will most likely never buy one again due to how many are out there. I am a person who does not go to the fold so my next choice being a R1 may not happen once again because they are really popular. My actual dream bike is the last 3 years of the CBR900rr, not sure why but I always loved them and almost bought one when I was looking at the SV. After working on the SV and building it myway I doubt there is another bike out there that will make me this happy. I am not in a hurry to hit 150mph and the sv does pretty good where I need it. Now if I win the lottery or some wierd stuff like that then I would most definately have a 05 R1, 99 900rr, along with a few rare litre bikes. I would also build my own bike using either a tt20b or just a 13b.

The Supermoto itch is driving me nuts! I almost bought one in '07, but the SV was cheaper. I've thought about trading for a new Husky, but i dont want to give up my SV. So when the 650 is paid off, i'm getting a second bike.

+1 on the Speed Triple....It's a wicked bike!!! I'll mod the SV over the next few years into a full on street fighter and buy the Speed Triple for the more refined rides. I also like the Thruxton for a bomb around town bike
