So I had my bike siting for a while, currently in the process of getting it back on the road. Engine ran fine before I parked it for about two years due to some life events and what not. Anyhow, changed oil and filter, put in some fuel, got a battery and fired it up for the first time in two years. Stumbled a little but cleared out pretty good. Ran it for about half an hour idling when I heard some clunking noise. Immediately shut it down, tried to start it and heard it clunk some more, bike starts and runs fine after and noise goes away after it's already running. So I pulled the starter to see what the starter gear looks like, looks fine. Then I pulled the generator cover and this is what I found. As you can see, broke some teeth, how? I have no idea, just wondering if it's hard to do, and if anyone has some tips, and maybe has some spare parts they're willing to part with or sell on the cheap. Thanks for any help.
