I'm looking at a motor on CL and the PO said that the front cylinder is blown because the cam chain tensioner failed. Besides a head swap, new valves and most likely new cams what else would fail? Would the bottom end sustain any damage?

If there are too many what ifs please feel free to call me out haha.

And if you end up finding the motor and buying it before me I'll kick you in the nuts

Broken piston, bent connecting rod, trashed main bearing, tweeked crankshaft and metal shavings in all the oil passages.

Complete teardown and measurement of all surfaces in relation to everything else.

That CAN happen. Not saying it did. Three card Monte, you're taking your chances.
