Hi Folks,
The SV650 service manual K3 through K8 calls out the following four model types: SV650/S/A/SA.

What is an SV650A? I assume the SA is the sport version of the A model.

Thanks!

The A stands for ABS, ANTI BRAKING SYSTEM, hahaha. Its realy nice driving, because you don't have to think about braking, just brake as hard as you can and you bike ist still under control

I thought ABS was overkill on a bike, but last night I locked the rear when the cager in front of me tried to miss a dog. It was no big deal, just a little slide - but its got me rethinking ABS.

I ride in the rain all the time, and on my old bike (without ABS) I was locking th rear all the time. No big deal, but I worry sometimes about locking the front in a panic stop. I've had to really grab the binders a few times and I've definitely felt the front ABS kick in.

Not a requirement for me on a bike, but it's sure nice to have.
