I've been thinking about this recently as I've been shopping for a new bike. I'm not going to buy one soon (or at least I don't plan to) but I am looking. As I daydreamed about all the bikes I've been looking at I asked myself this question.

The purpose of the thread is not to necissarily tell us what your next bike is going to be, but rather what you want it to do for you.

I'll start:

What I want from my next bike is the feeling of unrivaled, absurd, absolute and unquestionable power. I'm not talking get a busa power but rather the kind of power the Emporer felt as he was killing Mace Windu with force lightning and you could faintly hear, through his maniacal laughter, "POWER!!!!"

The feeling of utter control of that power to the point where nothing in this galaxy can shut you down. I'm also not talking power that you can only take for 30 minutes at a time (Demosedici). I also need the feeling of being in COMPLETE control of that power, so it has to be somewhat tameable by me.

I want:

Fuel Injection (I love it. I'm so over tinkering with carbs)
Comfort for longer rides; so legroom, seating position are key.
Much more room & comfort for riding 2-up. Yeah, I care if my wife if comfy. :)
More storage & luggage options.

I knew some time ago I was probably looking for a Sport-Touring bike.
The power thing is nice, but really I'm more interested in something I can take long road trips with my better half.

I like the looks of the Yamaha FJR1300A.

Nice bike.

I want a bike where when I throw me leg over here I get a lightening bolt of excitement that shoots directly up my spine. When I rev the **** outa the engine, I want the noise to soothe me and make me feel empowered at the same time.

I want to feel as I can do anything on it with just a thought when we are on the road. To have complete control, that when I grab the reigns she listens to me and is ready for what I want.

My love for Mustangs probably has a lot to do with my tastes in everything.... lots of torque.

women - big torquey lifting legs & booty. Gotta be nice to look at.
trucks - "tow the gates off hell" V-8s with flowmasters, lockers & 4.10 gears
rollercoasters - magnets or hydraulic starts rule

Bikes - gobbs of torque and light. Mid-size V-twins are great. Wheelies (burnouts in stang) with no clutch, climbing hills without downshifting, nasty - raspy - throaty sound, & wide-open turn exits. Fairings are pretty like a Cobra-R 3" cowl hood.

I wanted: Comfortable rider seating (no 1), longer suspension to absorb road bumps, 650cc (thumper preferred) with good fuel mileage, at least some type of wind protection for highway riding, a flat or semi flat seat because my wife HATES the split passenger seat on the SV, and finally FI would be a bonus because it gets extremely cold here in the winter (5 degrees this morning). I wasn't worried about weight because I doubt it will see much off-road other than dirt/gravel roads. I think found all those things in my "new" bike.

How about the Total Control class? It sounds like it's named for people like you.

Oh, one more thing. Twin air-cooled .30 cal Brownings. With infinite ammo.
How to accomplish this:
1) Hook a PC keyboard (GENI) or a nintendo controller (GENII) up to the dealer switch code reader thingy in the tail of the bike.
2) For a GENII: Type "IDDQD" or "IDKFA" and one of those will give you infinite ammo.
3) For a GENI: Type up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, select, start, and you'll get a similar effect.

Disqualified :p

The F650 doesn't count because you have it... what about the next one when you get the degree and a high-paying engineering job?
Dang. Ok, how about pretty much the same specs, only more power. So lets say an 800GS ;D.
