That's the Targa fairing ... as someone commented on another forum.

Yea it's a targa. It's a pretty good winter fairing when I install the hand guards and heated gear. Way too hot for the summer though for me. It installs or removes in about 20 minutes. Just put mine on for the cooler temps a week ago. Don't let the fairing scare you off...

I have one of these targas. Mine came with only the bottom bracket and one side bracket that was bent. I made aluminum copies of the side bracket, bought some hardware from lowes, and rode with it for thousands of miles. I'm 5'9" and it basically shoots the wind at my neck. with handguards and this I rode through much of the winter last year. I took it off this summer: I'm not too fond of the looks really, especially with mine being kinda bashed up.

all in all it's probably just as good as many other windscreens of a similar size, just looks a little...different
