like the reflective tape there. good location. nice bike.

Clean and lubed chain, washed and waxed her and cleaned the header and exhaust pipe! She looks awesome!!!

Pulled the seat & tail, cleaned out the 'trunk' and reorganized the tools, etc. Gave her a thorough cleaning... Checked the battery maintainer, good charge, all systems go.

Fired her up for 15 minutes to warm the engine & checked it front to rear. Next relatively warm day & I'm on the road...

I changed rear brake pads. I put these FERODO pads two years ago (20,000 miles ago). Let's see how long this new EBC pair will last.

Last night started on turning my street SV into a race bike.

This is what we started with:

2 1/2 hours later it looked a little different: ;D

Only hiccup was getting the swingarm pivot bolt out, corrosion had practically welded it place. BFH and an impact gun finally defeated it. :) It looked nasty:

A lot of the raceprep stuff is already done, I've had a Penske and clipons on the bike, and of course the forks had been done. Do need to go up one rate on the fork springs.
Rest of the parts are on order, wheels are stripped and ready for the powdercoater, bodywork's ready. Good times. :)

I rode my bike for the first after getting my seat back from Spencers Seat Mods. I have the Suzuki gel seat, which was like sitting on a rock. The seat looks only slightly flatter in appearance, but seat comfort is much improved. Spencers mentioned that it will take several hours of seat time for the foam to settle and improve, but I'm happy with the improvement already. It was worth doing.

Yeah, I like this stuff.. it is called Safe-Tape or something or other.. but it uses the 3M reflective material not some of the cheaper stuff... so it reflects back pretty good.... and the best part is that it is somewhat of a black color like the subframe and bar ends are.. so I can't really even tell it is there.. well except for the red one... I had to put it there cause a cop warned me about not having the red rear reflector.... hopefully this will make them happy enough...

If they had black tape that reflects back red I would have used that on the rear too...

And when I was putting on the M4 I decided to put a strip of the tape inside the rubber cushion that goes around the can... so that's how the ovals show up on the hanger... I did something similar on my old 99's hindle hanger too...

Did you post a picture before of your dad's bike? I saw the same thing somewhere on here a few weeks ago. I had some black reflective tape laying around, so when I took my exhaust off to readjust a few things, I did the same. I like it.

I had mine in here when I did the tape... before I put on the M4.. not sure if I put pictures up of the can with the hanger taped up while sitting on my couch or not..... it might have been when I bought the M4.... it's been sitting on my couch for about a month now :p I was going to put grey tape on the hanger cushion... but it looked weird against the titanium color of the can

Oh, and my dad drives my old Yamaha Maxim...

Just finished installing a new battery and battery tender hookup. Baby cranked up for the first time in 6 weeks. Whoo hoo! She purred like a contented kitten.

Now to get my handguards on and I'll be good to go.

Went on my Sunday ride, weather was great! My friend from OR was at my house when I got home, got to drink some overproof rum. smiley

Also got to see his 6 month old baby girl! The baby is soooo cute!

Walked past it on my way to a buddies to work on his bike. He has a wrecked '02 Katana 750. He decided to streetfighter it out so we've been tearing it apart all weekend. Should be a fun project.

Ordered a set of Sonic Springs 0.85 fork springs!!! Ought to match up well with my 04 Gixxer 1K rear shock that I've had for a bit now.

Thanks Rich!!

Went for an afternoon ride, temps were in the low 70s and sunny so went out and road around town.

Did some maintenance. Changed coolant, installed SS brake lines in front. Went for 1 hr. ride in nice weather. It was a good day.

Tomorrow with the bike: Adjust clutch and throttle cables. Install new turn signals front and back. Replace rear brake fluid. Clean & lube chain. Wash & detail entire bike. Go for ride (time & weather permitting).
