Finally got my freakin low fuel light figured out. It's just kinda dangling out of the headlight now. I'll probably mount it in the headlight bucket tonight. Although, I've gotten so used to shaking the tank before I ride to estimate the fuel level that I'm not so sure I even need a fuel light anymore.

was putting on the heated grips last night but realized it would take to long so put it back together and rode to work today. Almost went down right out of the complex, lots and lots of sand on the road, just gave me a little scare. Really should pull the trigger and buy some new tires soon.

I just received my second Fiamm horn - the high tone, and the relay. Due to work/travel, I probably won't get to the install until next weekend, though.

I finally noticed that part of the reason I've been losing confidence in corners is that my front tyre is no longer round  Diablo Strada, still legal tread but it's worn very unevenly so viewed from above, the profile is visibly "wobbly" so it's tipping into corners all wrong. Should have seen that a long time ago I think... I've got a Roadtec in the shed to fire on tomorrow, hopefully that'll be my mojo back! I still rate the tyre but I think it's not taken too kindly to so many corners, the centre's worn much less than the shoulders.

Oh, and I fitted a Rockshox Revelation dual air fork to my mountain bike. Y'know... Working on the pushbikes has really put me off spannering on the SV, the enjoyment's much the same but it's not cramped, it's not heavy, it's not covered in oil and road slime, none of the bolts stick, and I can lift it up on the stand and work at the perfect height, all the time. I'll run out of pushbike mods sooner or later but I just have no desire to mod the SV at all now :(

let's see....today I nudged it a bit with the truck as i pulled into the garage. for like the third time. I need one of those tennis balls to hang from the roof so I know when I've pulled in far enough.

I actually got to ride after work and blow some of the cobwebs out for about two hours today. It got up to about 55F and I couldn't wait to ride, it's been a couple of months since it's been nice enough.

put on gixxer front end and pre-srad rear wheel. not totally done yet tho. facking pitbull stand needs a new pin too. gixxer and sv pin are different :(

Phenomenal fork! I'm toying with the idea of a 1x9 69er build with a Felt Virtue team frame and a 20mm Reba race dual air 29er up front. I have the reba race dual air on my 29er now. Love it!

On the motorbike, so far this week I've experienced the reason for two more mods: a slipper clutch and a steering damper. Although it will be a while before I have either. The push bike gets priority now. Oh, and I just got a 1981 Honda Express SR. It's cool.

road it around town, weather was pretty nice so we went for a ride.

Adjusted the clutch and changed the brake fluid. Following the directions in the manual made a huge difference in finding neutral. Funny how following directions will make things better;D

Really sucky weather here so put on my Gel Seat.

Aaaaargh! I feel like I've pulled out all the muscles in my (puny girl-like) arms changing my front tyre. Couldn't find a stem remover tool either so I had to put the tyre onto the bead with the valve core in, which was a pain in the bum. Hopefully that'll sort its dodgy cornering out though- just refitted an old part-worn Roadtec I had lying about.

I just stuck it on the defaults and went for a blast, weather wasn't exactly ideal for riding but it still showed its class... I had a Tora 302 on before which was OK, but these things are just so controlled, brilliant. Love the u-turn, too. And I'm sure I can make it better with some tweaking. WIsh I could afford the motorbike equivalents ;D I've still not tried 29" wheels, hoping to pinch one for a while at a demo day though.

I went on my Sunday ride and...

my favorite stopping spot is no more. :'(

The fire was yesterday I was told, don't know if will be fixed, will miss Supreme Doughnuts and seeing the HB locals on Sunday.

So I dedicated my ride to the Supreme Doughnut and HB crew!

On my way back I found a new stopping spot:

It is in NB (Newport Beach). There is a Cronic Tacos next door and a couple doors over is a bicycle shop, took a pic of this one bike.

Oh yeah and its 80 degrees in So CA today. ;D

I also washed the bike and cleaned the chain!

Turned it naked again. Well, mostly, i got fed up fighting wires and just threw it together to be rideable, but with no clocks and all the wires in a binbag. 1337 modz!1!!one!

it was actually Friday but stopped at the store thought I had gotten the kickstand all the way down and started getting off and well the kickstand wasn't all the way down and I had to gently set it down. I couldn't help but laugh at myself.

^^^ I almost did that the first time I pulled up to my local bike shop. Got off, started to let the bike go, and it just fell. Luckily I caught it about 6 inches off the ground. Downside was a bunch of the employee's were standing right next to me on their smoke break and watched the whole thing.
