I cut off about 4" of can and packing, say 1/4 of the can and let me tell ya it is alot louder than I had anticipated. whoda thunk it:p

Just spent an hour and a half removing front fairings and radiator just to remove the ignition.

Now off to the locksmith to get a key made (and a bunch of copies). Hope to get it back tonight, looks like some decent weather for the next few days. ;D

Put the sliders on and applied some reflective tape... I put a black strip on the bar ends, the back side of the front flashers, the rear subframe under the seat and then some gray reflective tape on the passenger pegs...

these blend in with the bike and you couldn't even tell they were there during the day but at night, depending on the angle

Since the previous owner did the tail chop and there are no reflectors (cop actually warned me in passing while I was parked in a parking lot) he said I should get some red ones for the back side of the bike and I should get the round ones for the plate...

Well I only had the red reflective tape for now... but it will do in a pinch... I put some on the back plate and rear swingarm and it does the job... eventually I'll get the right ones for the plate but for now this works...

Here is a picture, the white areas are black or silver during the day and the red ones are red all the time but reflective at night...

I got my M4 last week too and put a strip of the black reflective tape on the space between the cushion and the holder... I did this on my 99 hindle pipe too... works not too bad...and you never know it is there untill light hits it at night.. otherwise it is black.. the camera doesn't do them justice though..

Next I have to put the M4 on the bike... I might do that over christmas

WOW looks great I can't wait to get mine!

How was the install process?

Stabil in teh tank, ran her for a bit, put her on rearstand, clean and lube chain, pulled battery and put it on trickle charger....

*sigh* too cold here to ride, crap weather, and snow on the way, im sure of it.

I searched all over for the source of a bad smell after I arrived at work. Smelled like burning oil so naturally I was a little worried. Put my nose in the exhaust(engine off), smelled fine and proceeded to sniff around the engine. I picked the bike off the stand and checked the oil level, since I'm due for a change in the next 200 miles or so. Right where it should be, no more and no less. Put the bike down on the side stand and relized that my helmet was still on the seat. Guess what fell? Gorram SHOEI has another scuff, that's why I like solid colors. You can't really tell with the silver.

So I go around the engine again, sniffing for anything and finally deduced that riding in the rain the past few days has loosened up some oil I spilled on it the last change and never cleaned off, allowing it to flow to a hotter part of the engine. The smell of oil wasn't as bad when I finished searching but it still smelled from being wet. My bike smells like a wet dog when it gets wet.

-Removed shortened kickstand and installed regular length. I never realized how much my bike leaned while on the sidestand.

-Installed Galfer wave rotors and Carbone Lorraine SBK pads on the front.

Then rode in the drizzle to work. yay.

-Can't remember if I said CRG brake lever earlier. Lever should have been gray, but oh well. It works just the same.

Break in the rain today, with a temp of 66 degrees and sun!!!:hello2::hello2:

Counting down the minutes till I can get out of this office, get home, throw on gear, and stretch the SV's legs! :vroom:

It was raining 3 days straight with temps from 18-25 degrees, so I winterized her. Figures that the moment I do, it's beautiful outside.
