At the last race of our race weekend, my exhaust was barely hanging on by just the exhaust bracket and all rivets were broken. After a quick rivet job I made it back in time for the start, but from pit lane. Someone pointed out that the homemade bracket was too far forward putting a lot of leveraged force on the base of the exhaust. Decided to move the bracket to the rear mounting hole and for good measure, cut the exhaust down to just over half of the length, from 16" to about 7-3/4". More importantly is the side benefit of a little weight loss, over a 1/3 of the canister weight. For the benefit of US and Euro readers to keep you from having to convert, the weight loss is:

pre - 1916 grams / 4.22 pounds / 67.6 oz
post - 1170 grams / 2.58 pounds / 41.2 oz
loss - 746 grams / 1.64 pounds / 26.4 oz - 39%

Also painted the sprocket hub black and the wheels white (no pic).

I replaced it. Instead of upgrading the parts on my race bike, I just replaced the bike itself. Well, haven't sold my old one yet, but about to.

I was going to add a PCV, quick shifter, and slipper clutch. The new bike has all of that, plus engine work, a Brembo front master, and full M4 exhaust.

Went to start her up for a quick ride. It's 50F out so why not?

Caught a whiff of antifreeze..saw the LH side of the block was wet!
*Small heart attack*

Further inspection reveals leaking hose connections under the airbox making a puddle in the V.

Guess I'll be ordering some hoses. Or checking the clamp tightness. I plan on keeping this bike for a while.

Forgot about all I did this last weekend, now that the next is almost here...

Changed: Plugs, air filter, oil, oil filter, front sprocket, rear sprocket, chain.
Adjusted: Exhaust valves (hair out of spec), clutch pushrod actuator.
Added: some lighting... (Don't hate me, I work for the lights manufacturer. 3 strips, 4.5" long each) - they go red when on the brakes.

Rode it finally! It was good weather. I also installed my Battery Tender Jr. lead to the battery.

My rats nest of wires

I dangled the lead under the left side of the seat. It's just barely visible.

I just bought my bike last week with 41,300kms on the clock. While the bike is very clean, its pretty much been sitting idle for the last few years. PO had kept some maintenance up (e.g. yearly Oil change last done Sept 2017 / 300kms ago).
But he has left other things (e.g. Coolant / brake fluids).

So over the weekend I changed the Oil / Oil Filter Filter, Air Filter, Coolant, cleaned out and flushed the Brake lines (masters were full of sludge), replaced the Spark Plugs and the front Brake Pads. I also changed the clip type master link to a rivet type master link. I checked the battery and its seems okay (good voltage and clean terminals).
Its so nice working on a Japanese bike again. So much easier than my KTM !.

Anyway, its running a little better now but the biggest improvement are the brakes which isn't surprising given the state the brake fluid was in.

New tire today, only to discover my brake pads are shot...

If the rears are shot, the fronts have to be close behind!

finally got around to mounting up the rear Carrozzeria recently

Installed new foam grip covers, as the old set was falling off...
