Shopped for handlebars. I'm having a hard time finding a superbike bend with a 5 inch center section to go with the 2014 street triple clamps I'm using.
What forks are you running in those clamps?

I guess Sunday will be my day to do a lot of work on my SV1000:

Lower triple clamp, steering head bearings
Forks (Zoran-reworked 06 600)
shock (Zoran-reworked Penske Triple)
Motion Pro Rev2 kit
Ducati Monster 796 handlebars
LED headlight
new turn signals

hopefully I can get it all done Sunday (might start Saturday afternoon depending on how long things take)

Later, when the parts arrive, it's getting a billet upper triple clamp to replace the 05/06 GSXR1000 that I currently have (that's drilled for bars).

Cool, let me know where you get the throttle cables
from. I'd like to route them the correct was as well.

I may try a shot in the dark with the Vstrom cables
again, if I can find some low mileage ones cheap!

I was referring to the bar clamps I picked up. They ended up being from a 2014ish Street Triple R. To answer your question fully though, stock suspension. I sourced a second top triple and had it reinforced then drilled. I just got this all back from the powder coater. I'm gonna mate everything up to a pair of Renthal MA009B bars. They seem pretty close to a superbike bend but have the 4.8" center I needed.

What do you mean by "where you get the throttle cables from"? I ordered a custom setup from Motion Pro, and am hoping to run factory routing.

I got the +4s from motion pro, $50ish shipped. You can order custom throttle and clutch cables as well but the throttle set would have been $70 +shipping.

I remember reading a post where someone did successfully use vstrom cables but they were somewhere around +5 inches and bowed out pretty badly.

Replaced air filter with k&n

and removed STVs while I was at it

also removed parking lights and swapped headlight bulbs to ADVmonster H4 R3 LEDs

Also you'll notice the passenger pegs are off, they are getting powder coated black.

I have an ADVMonster LED on my WR450 and the beam is pretty bad. How does yours look?

Making progress.

I ended up needing to cut the locating lug off the brake master so I could rotate my brake lines far enough to clear.

Still need to drill locating holes for the controls, address possible chafing zones, and figure out a reservoir mounting solution.

Regarding mounting the brake reservoir, I drilled and tapped my handlebars for an M6 screw and use that to mount a China billet reservoir. Here's an old pic:

I don't really know to be honest. I've only seen it against the wall in the garage. It seemed to be decent and had a well defined cutoff. But I only ride during the day so i'm not too concerned about it. I swapped them in for the color temperature of the light, and the instant high beam.

Yesterday gave it a bath, today I took it on a ride with a couple of friends.

Took it for its (any my) first ride. Went about 40 miles and had a blast! However, I found out I need to address a few things.

1. Seat is not overly comfy
2. Earplugs are great but looking into bluetooth headphones now. I use jaybird freedom's at the gym and may try them out for riding as well.

Wrestled a green connector and changed the spark plugs while I was at it. Not sure but they look pretty old. The brown one was front cylinder. The other was a little "wet" it had something on the threads, not sure if that is a leaky gasket or something. I've not noticed any oil loss or anything of that nature.
