Not "to" the SV, but related.

Ordered a new pair of gloves. Seam starting to go on the old pair, at a spot that isn't very repairable. And I've been riding daily with them since Nov 2013, so it was time for a new pair.

Went with the new Scorpion SGS MkII in black, size large. These will replace my Dainese 4 stroke gloves.

Really nice gloves for the $$. They are my daily riders.

Do you have the originals or the Mk2's? (Mk2's are new this year.)

The new have a few minor differences (relocated palm sliders, slight changes in materials). The originals feel a lot like the Dainese that I have, with the bonus of exterior stitching on the fingers, I'm hoping these hold up as well as the D's.

I've been wearing the same black Oakley Standard Issue SI Assault Gloves for about 7 years now. I'm looking at replacing them soon with the Oakley Factory Lite glove.

Oops, just looked at pics of both and mine are the original SGS... Though I'll now be interested to know what you think of the 2's when they arrive.

Yesterday:

Put it on a rear lift for the first time.
Cleaned and lubed the chain.
Checked chain tightness. It needs a tightening...
Installed a chain guard.
Installed a new relay to stop quick blinking signals.
Replaced a stripped frame cover bolt.

Pet peeve...
It needs a tightening...
It needs to be tightened.
- or -
Tightening it is needed.

But nothing ever "needs doing" (or any verb with "ing" added, like "washing", "shoveling", or "sweeping") as in these cases "needs" indicates a future event, while "doing" is something presently, at this time, happening...

Rant over.

I'm a technical writer, and can't help it. The word "needs" followed by words that end with "ing" is like nails on a chalkboard...

I can't help you, dude. I've got a bike that needs riding, beer that needs drinking, and a wallet that needs filling.

This is fun...

Why... Why you gotta be so mean?
:lmao:

Today's SV Action:

Installed a pressure switch banjo bolt in the rear master cylinder and got my brake light working properly.
Flushed the rear brake fluid.
Locked up the rear wheel on purpose to test my work. ;-)

This is the part where I don't recognize a Taylor Swift lyric and emasculate myself in public.
OMG. I had no idea it was THAT song. I thought I was quoting a movie...
