Got a good deal on 1st Gen intake cams so last night I swapped them for my 2nd Gen exhaust cams. Everything went smooth and on my way to work this morning my butt dyno tells me it's an improvement.

Weekend before last the battery pack on my Sena headset went kaput (broken wire, I think.) This morning I realized why I listen to music when commuting... I seem to have a very distracting internal random monologue that I have to listen to if there's no music... I almost missed my exit for work this morning...

Do you have your battery pack on the back of your helmet, with the wire going under the back to the inside? Mine is like that, and my wire is already starting to get damaged and I've only had it a few months. I'm thinking I'll just coat the thing in severallg layers of liquid electrical tape.

Yeah, it was on the back. Mine is the older style without the clip - just velcro, and came loose a few times. Just a half-strip of tape covering it would help. Mine broke contact right at the junction of the battery cover, so I had a soldering tech here at work attempt a repair. Will be testing at lunch.

My buddy Chad came over and we put my modified race harness in and did some other stuff. fired it up and no codes showed up so I think I'm good to go. I made a prototype carbon fiber precisionmoto growler pipe also.(left the rivets in just for show.)

Swapped plugs, What I found on the plugs was hilarious.. These were from the previous owner, or maybe two owners who knows.
Front plug is on the left, in case you can't tell the rear plug is covered in ants. That's what was left after wiping most of them off.

Then changed the color of the frame to a better looking color in my opinion ;)

Cleaned/lubed chain, Clutch Mantra, adjusted shift lever position, and put the Two Bros silencer tip back in. Noticeably quieter, but still nice and throaty.

Did fork seals on my ZX this weekend, first time (and a lack of decent instructions in existence for my bike) so it was a bit of a learning experience. The first shock took like 4 hours to figure out what I was doing, the second was only like an hour. Today I reassembled the front end, and changed front brake pads, the one under the leaking fork seal was oiled to the point it was doing 0% of the braking, and the clean side pad was worn down almost all the way from doing all the work on the way home from last Fall's road trip.

Next up, rear brakes, then tearing into the carbs. Riding season is almost upon us here!

After riding Chinabike non stop since October, I finally got Blue out of storage yesterday and took her for a ride.

Damn Google Photos... Will fix, but it's just shots of front & rear tread...

Put on a new gear shift and sticker for my plate!! (Don't you read "What Came in the Mail"? tsk!)

And this should show why a new one was needed...

Foot kept slipping on the old.
