Got pulled over on it! :D

78mph in a 75 zone. :dontknow: State trooper was cool and only gave a warning so no complaints from me. He has to do his job too.

Yeah, but 78 in a 75! C'mon man.....go do your job elsewhere like finding rapists and killers. Or if you're just a traffic cop, how about policing tailgaters that follow motorcycles too close?

Poor guy was probably lonely. And knew a judge would tell him to stop wasting time if he actually wrote you up for that.

I would have been irate if I would have gotten pulled over for that (would have kept my cool though, hopefully), and a ticket.. I would have exploded. Glad you got a warning.

In the DFW area I believe the reason you got pulled over for 78, was you were obstructing traffic. He might have also thought you were stoned driving that slow.
Ya, when i rude in or through Dallas I do a minimum of 85 and still get passed some even with the 65 zones. I'm not really mad at the guy, he didn't hold me up for more than a three minutes or so was probably just checking that i had the M endorsement.

Finished sanding my fairings. Moved on to repairing the cracks and scratches in the fairings. Then changed the oil. Took her for the first ride of the year and then the bike and I got a spontaneous cold shower. Found out that my tank bag is great for holding water. And worse yet didn't find a tag for svrider motorcycle picture game 2.0!

Now I am off to dry off.

Got my project 1st gen SV's tank roughed-out.

Started pretty close to this, just not quite as caved-in -

It was primed when I got it, so I thought it was a good idea to see what it was hiding. Turns out it was crushed in about an inch, and the rookies filled the dent with body filler without roughing it out at all.

I used a stud-type dent puller, and worked the dent out to the point where it will only need minimal filler -

Next step is completely blasting the tank and some more grinding for the high temp filler area, then applying a powder primer, sanding the primer, then a "Suzuki Blue" powder topcoat.

The plan is "Suzuki Blue" on the tank, tail, and wheels. After that, I plan to do the frame and swingarm in charcoal with satin clear.
