Went for a short ride since I've been back home and haven't been able to. It got very windy while I was out and almost got blown off the highway repeatedly. It was the most unnerving ride I've had so far.

Winterized it, <sniff>, hopefully the white stuff is gone within 5 months.

rotella finally in new filter, looked and I need rear brake pads again

Started to de-sticker everything that is ugly.

I drove mine in to work today.... it is supposed to be +12 or +15 here in calgary today :nana:... although it is going to turn to crap for the rest of the week though.... d a m n this snow... d a m n it to helllllllll!!

Hope it is a mild winter for once... I nearly went insane last year... and I took 3 weeks off in Mexico and Belize last spring too... I swear winter lasted 9 months last year

Global Warming?
But the polar bears are drowning and somehow ending up on that island in the show Lost.

Seriously though... I took off my Daytona bar, put the stock ones back on, took a ride, and re-installed the Daytona bar (just for comparison).

BTW, anyone know where I can get a longer front brake line for the ABS model SVN? The front line for the ABS model goes from an eyelet connector (brake fluid reservoir end) to a threaded male connector on the frame, which is hardlined to the back of the bike to the ABS unit.

I removed the tripple and re-routed the brake line behind the right fork, but at full steering lock, the line bends funny.

I'm guessing I need to figure out the thread size of that male connect and get a custom line made. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I put on stainless steel brake lines, remeasured and added fork oil (incorrect measurement on initial fill), turned emulators to 1.75 turns and re-set sag. All done on Friday.

Doooooooood, you absolutely flipped me out when you turned the camera around.

I just put on (yesterday) some mildly polished stainless plate brackets. I had to lower the sv for the GF and where I had the tag it hit the rear tire so I made these.

I also am not a fan of bike horns so I used a pair of GTI horns the ppl definitely give respect now.

Swapped the integrated tail light onto my bike.
The other bike got my taillight and turn signals. Rear fender installed, New gp handlebars, grips, barends. Removed the exhaust. Installed the Givi topcase rack that use to be on my SV. Oh and I also removed the tank so I could get 2 bolts out that had broken heads. Now the tank hinges like it should.

I think mine is going on it's stands. Our roads are no longer safe unless you have studs thanks to this weekends snow. I've got some odds and ends to do this winter.

Rode it yesterday, will ride it today also :) It is getting colder but no rain so its still good :)

Ran hot water over a towel so I could get the frost off my seat, then rode it down the highway and froze my ass off. I'm ordering grip heaters today.
