I noticed that i hit some sort of muddy spot, got a line of spray. So i cleaner real niceunder the motor and everywhere, then i took off the front fender and the hugger to clean up in there too. Started work on a bracket for the resivoir for the brembo brake mastercylinder/lever

Just received and installed a set of chrome BikeMaster Daytona bars. After the install of my rear set riser plates, I realized that anything and everything should be adjusted until the whole bike feels just right.

Oh yeah, cutting 1.25" from each end and the levers barely fit. And I mean barely. Can't wait to try it out.

Spent the day waiting for the UPS truck to arrive with my new battery... Didn't come till around 2:00 and so I'll have to wait overnight for my battery to get charged. :(

Put on red anodized pegs and finally painted my rear sets black... also got my red swing arm spools in the mail ready to put on tomorrow (going for the whole red accent theme :happy6:)

Rode my bike to work. On my way home I passed the gas station by my house, and it's now $1.95 for regular!

[Rode my bike to work. Got off early, passed the gas station by my house, and it's now $1.87 for regular!

How low will it go?

Gave it a pretty thorough cleaning. Waxed with Turtle Wax Ice. I really like that stuff. Stuck on the Tech Spec pads, which wasn't as easy as I had hoped it might be, and painted a couple things flat black for practice.

Paint didn't turn out horrible, so I will attack the radiator guards next.

Edit: Yesterday, when I put on the Tech Spec pads, I noticed the front of the pads weren't sticking to the tank like the should. I thought I solved the problem with some painter's tape holding the offending edges down so the adhesive would have time set. This morning, I go to get on the bike to ride it to work, and the pads had come off from everywhere the tape wasn't. I peeled them off, and since I didn't have any wax paper, I stuffed them into individual zip-lock bags to try to save the glue until I can try again.

100 mile ride up the twistiest road in CA. Came home, cleaned the chain (but didn't lube) got too tired and called it tonight. Tomorrow's plans include lubing it and cleaning the rest of the bike.

you waxed the bike and then tried to stick something to it??

that's the problem.... get some alcohol and give it a quick wipe in the area you want to stick to... then wipe it down with water to clear the alcohol and let it dry... apply the sticker/pad/whatever and it will stay on no problem
