Sunday had new head bearings installed. Feeling a little tight but starting to loosen up.

Today I stopped by Two Brothers Racing world HQ for a repack kit and stainless steel wool matt.

Cleaned, relubed, and adjusted my shift linkage and clutch release mechanism in the hope that it will solve or alleviate my 2nd gear issue. The bugger has periodically been dropping back to neutral for a year now. Pre loading my shifts has all but eliminated the issue when I remember to do it. So this it the first step on the mechanical road that hopefully won't lead to split cases.

Good Lord! I had to do a double take to see if you were in Wisconsin with that ugly green and gold paint job.
I said shiny toys, not that I liked their shiny toys... :D

Installed the LED tail light bulb upgrade (see http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182618). Got longer bolts that have thread left after installing the windscreen. Plugged the darn clutch sensor back in after it gave me a no-start scare. Rode the bloody mess out of it down I-20 to work.

Life is good.:)

Passed it in the garage on my way out to the car... still waiting to take MSF next week before I take it out. :(

Although I already removed the windscreen, pulled bulbs to lookup LED replacements, and started the process of getting an aTRE and doing a TPS mod. :)

Removed the slack from the new chain, wiped off some crud, scraped off the old inspection sticker, installed new turn signal bulb, checked air pressure in tires, filled it with gas and took it for a 10 mile ride.

I bought a nice power cable with an Andersen quick connect to wire up to my battery, so I have easier access for charging and jump starts. I've had my battery die twice randomly, I think due to the ignition switch getting stuck part way between LOCK and the stupid PARKING LIGHTS position (why the f#$@ does that even exist???). It's very annoying to have to get your hands dirty reaching around the chain to get to the little toolbox, remove the seat covers, and the seat bolts, just to get to the battery terminals.

I'll be hooking that sucker up this weekend, and I'll have a nice spot under the rear seat to quick plug whatever I need.
