Full head strip down, spark plug snapped in head! !!
What a pain in the a$$, heli coiled it which turned out to be a different thread to the spark plug lol omg.

Gave it a new bed...

Then made it jealous by working on my sister-in-laws clogged carbs...

So I took it out and grabbed a tag for the picture game...

Rode it into to town with thick fog and a bald rear. Scared the ish outta me during the morning commute. After the tires get on I'm gonna do a nice and proper break in most likely on Thursday.

New vinyl fitted the rider seat.
Would crank and not start, low battery after five days, unplugged headlights and she started.
Looking for a new battery as unsure of it's age.

First post here! Got my 2001 SVn about 2+ years ago and it was bone stock with 9k miles. Since then I have put on 14k miles (10k+ in one year) and Ive thrown on a Dale Walker Holeshot high mount exhaust, DID chain and SVRP sprockets (-1/+2), SVRP frame sliders and swingarm sliders, SVRP adjustable rearset risers, Racetech fork internals (.85/.85), custom undertail, and a few days ago did the SVs triple swap with some 1" rise woodcraft clipons. Currently running a pr3 rear and bt-016 front and Im gonna try to do several track days this season so Ill prob switch to q3's in the very near future.

Woodcrafts and svs triple freshly installed

svs triple with svn guages

First time dragging knee

Constant battle against corrosion thanks to the ocean and fog

this is with the SVN handlebars

Woodcrafts install was a process with my ghetto rig of tiedown straps

Yesterday I replace my fork springs with 1.0 sonicspring and working on my seat cowl infill. Still need some welding but the result will be sharp.

Installed a new rear seat. It looks better than the pillow I had before.

As it was pouring rain I spent the day in the garage adding all the goodies that have arrived the last week or so...

Replaced the stock mirrors with some napolean bar ends.
Added some bar risers I bought from a member because of my short stubby trex arms.
Added puig sport screen
Added r&g radiator guard.
Replaced ugly stock signals with some cheap led ebayers.
Added fender eliminator.
Replaced chain guard with rear tire hugger.

Some pics below, looking forward to some better ones when I can actually get out of the garage without getting drenched.

I've been having a great time servicing all the bearings in the swing arm and linkage on my K6. It just turned over 50,000 miles, so I think it might be ready for some heavy duty service. Removing the exhaust was a real job: because of all the miles ridden on wet/salty roads, it acted like it was welded on. But I got it off and didn't break the header bolts, either!

None of the bearings were dry, but they all will benefit from some fresh, high quality grease. I think doing this service at 50K miles is about the right timing.

I'm waiting on parts and for the ZX14 shock to be rebuilt, so I'm out of commission for at least another week.

Anyway, here's couple of pics.

For the exhaust; Acetone & ATF 50/50 and a major helping of patience.

For the bearings; a good wipe down followed by a thorough spray down with carb cleaner to remove the old grease and dirt. Follow that with WD40 to remove any residual cleaner. Finally pack with a good high quality grease. Marine grade grease is excellent for the suspension linkage since it won't wash out as easily.

Installed a connector to program the flux capacitor.

Which, to the untrained eye, looks like a simple USB charger.
