Wow, it's been 8 days since anyone worked on their SV?!?!! Amazing.

Anyway, I changed the fork oil in ol' Suzy today. I try to change it every year at least, but it was 16 months since last time, but the mileage was not all that great, so it's all good.

One thing that's easy to forget (if you do the job by memory) is to stroke the forks when you add the new fluid. If you forget to do this, you won't get enough oil in the forks. I was reminded of that since I measured the oil for each leg and couldn't get it all in... oh yea, gotta purge the air out by stroking the forks. Durp.

Setting the oil level was a snap this time. I used a big syringe and a large ID blunt needle. The syringe was marked at 110mm (the level I use) and I pulled on the syringe till it slurped air and that was it. So much easier than using a ruler!

Fresh motor oil and fresh fork oil. Time for a RIDE!!!!! :vroom:

Dropped it in the garage and dented the tank! :angry4:
Ugh... i did that in a rush when I still have the red custom.... BLOOD BOILS!!!!

Sorry to hear it man.
