Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

4300k hids
looks different in person, stock it was way yellower then the pics show and the hids in person are white and have zero bluish tint. oh well im very happy with them. not as much glare as i expected but i dont ride at night anyways, i was just looking for some more daytime "noticeability" and getting rid of the cheap yellow look. and before the haters come out, yes i fully understand the concept of lighting and halogen housing vs. proper projector. :nana:

on a side note, i noticed i have some nifty mirror spacers. i always wondered why everyone complained about the mirrors sucking so bad because mine were good lol

Rode to Florida National to visit with my loved ones I miss so much.

Then down to Tampa and back home to pester you all.
Other than riding I got up early to put an inline fuse and relay to my horns. I was tired of replacing fuses.

She's Alive!!!!!

Got everything buttoned up. Tried to start her without hooking up the tank, lol. Figured that out, took about 3-5 min to get the air out of the fuel lines but she runs. By time I got her running the parking lot was a skating rink so no test ride. And Tuesday we are supposed to get 4-8" of snow. At least she runs and re-fires without hesitation.

Re: What did you do to your SV today (yesterday)

New chain & oil/filter change.

I found the EK blue chain for only $5 more than the regular chain so thought I would give it a try. Now that it's on, my feeling is that the shade of blue is a little :gay:. I'm also disappointed that the master link was not colored the same as the other links on the chain. I do have to say that working with a riveted chain really wasn't verty troublesome though.

Spent a lot of time cleaning the crap from accumulated grease from the wheel (Though it's still far from perfect). I'm going for the chain wax from now on.

Between that and having to make a trip to Wal-mart because some douche had put the wrong filter in the box, I didn't get much riding time yesterday. Shame as it was a nice day here yesterday and cold today :(

well I dunno if it is :gay: or not.... but it certainly is :puke:

it's even better that they don't include the master clip in miami vice blue

I don't think that color would look too bad on a black or lighter silver color... but god that is a nasty shade...

I still go for the gold if I am getting a replacement chain... at least it doesn't look like it was spray painted....

So.... do you think you can live with it for the next few years? ? ?.... I guess it isn't THAT bad...and it will probably be less noticeable once it gets broken in and is a bit dirty... but I don't think it would be my first choice... I don't even like the stock silver on mine

Went on my Sunday ride, was cold and overcast but hardly anyone on the road. Even so there were a couple of people that tried to change lanes with me next to them, I remembered to hit the toy horn that comes with the bike, lol. :D

The canyon rodas weren't as dirty as I thought, which was nice. When I got home I noticed this:

I tightened the clamp, now I am going to wash it up and see if it leaks any more. Will check the coolant when cold.

It's a whopping 28F, got geared up to take a test ride and the clutch push rod won't engage, I think I know what the problem is but now I have to take the clutch cover off tonight and try again, got one more chance tomorrow to get a test ride in for the next week.

I've got 17 days to get her rollin' now that she's runnin'.

Mmm, I'm tight as a gnat's chuff so it's staying on for a while. Quite possibly I'll manage to go through it this year if I keep the miles up anyway. This will also be second time around for the cogs so there may be a little accelerated wear (they were still in pretty good condition)

I think the purple may have been a bit of a closer match but I don't think I'll be experimenting again. Black might be a possibility though I think I'd be more likely to go with the standard gold. Though maybe chrome would work with the gray frame.

Don't know how dirt is going to play out as I'm going with the chain wax with this one. Hopefuly that'll keep the dirt down.

FINALLY got around to re-adjusting the float levels in the carbs. Jetted down one size, re-set the a/f screws... awww yeah.

No more popping or wierd idle issues. I think I shoiuld hae left it jetted up though, and messed with the Supertrapp discs.

I added some bling too, but I'm not sure if I like it..... :confused5:

I've had a new set of Pilot Road 2ct for a week. I finally got to install them yesterday. Currently and I did the install ourselves, with the set up that DougZ posted. Everything went pretty well, should go much quicker next time. I think we hurt ourselves by not getting the tires warmer.

I finally got to ride again today, for the first time since October. Its nice to be back on two wheels!

Installed frame sliders. Installed the adjustable rearset plates, upside down to lower the controls about an inch. Perfect fit now! Then to "test the set up" went on a 40 mile ride... 35° be da**:headbang:ed!

It was a nice "get better aquainted with the new to me bike" ride. Nothing crazy just getting cozy. I just hope the new brake pedal gets here soon.

Still Raining in CA. I even had a day off and expected to ride somewhere.

That fork clamp for my GSXR steering damper finally came but I got impatient waiting for it and already installed it last week. I wasn't happy with my lower headlight bracket after the install, so I fixed it.

Went from this:

To this now:

I re-bent the bracket it's now located above the damper and it's now better hidden.
