I caved to convenience and paid the shop to do the initial service. I mentioned the brakes felt a little spongy and asked them to bleed them. I also mentioned that I had been looking for just the right bolt and washer to fill the holes where I removed the mirrors.

When I picked it up, the brakes were significantly improved, and they had found the bits for which I was looking for the mirror mount holes. No charge for either. The service itself certainly wasn't cheap, but it was nice of them to do the little extra.

Shameless plug for Cycle Sport, Alexandria, VA.

Clean and lubed chain, replaced return rad hose, move the Vapor temp sensor closer to rad, reset time on the Vapor (hadn't changed it since DST), put some air in the tires and washed and waxed the bike.

I finally picked up my left sideview mirror. I talked to my parts guys earlier and they ordered the mirror, problem was when it came in I picked it up, took it home, opened it up and "What the F---!!!" It was some square chrome sideview that didn't look a thing like the right one. So I called them up, and they were like "Oh, weird, we're going to have to make some calls." About two weeks later, I finally have my mirror. Now I just need to figure out what I did with the bolts...

Finally got to ride it today. Only about 5 miles but it was still nice to be back on it. Swapped the battery out today, but it'll probably be sometime next week before I get to ride it again.

I think I bought another SV tonight to go with the 2 I already have. I think, hubby or kiddo may get this one.
